There is a part one to this post that I didn't think needed to be posted here but if you want to read it and see what it took to get us to this Kris show in Orlando...we live in TN...here's a link to my journal,
http://darkangel86-07.livejournal.com/235293.html , other than that...read, enjoy & laugh at me, if you must. =P
Now, fast forward through us getting up, getting ready, and all that fun stuff...we got to the venue around 10AM Friday morning where, believe it or not, we were NOT the first ones there! Shocking, I know. Sadly, we were the second ones there. -smirks- But not by much. Anyway, once we found the place, checked it out and everything, Sam and I went across the street to Subway to get something to eat. We had a perfect view of the front doors so we'd know if other fans were starting to show up or not.
Fast forward an hour and we're still sitting inside, eating when he decide to go back across the street to sit on the sidewalk. We figured we might as well sit and get some sun. We that lasted for about an hour before we made our way back over to Subway into the nice air conditioned area.
It can't be, oh let's say ten minutes after we sit down that Sam just points out the window and taps on it. I was on the computer typing this up and when I looked up, Kris' tour bus was driving by us. We laughed b/c yeah, it was kinda like our Tommy moment in Nashville but anyway, we sat long enough til we figured the guys would be getting off the bus when shockingly, the bus drove by us again. This time, we jumped up and took off after it.
Turns out the bus driver was having issues parking the bus in the tiny, and I mean TINY little back alley of the venue. By that time the only person we saw was Andrew and being as we'd yet to meet Andrew, we were kinda excited about this. He didn't get to go to lunch w/ us in Nashville b/c his family was in from out of town. So yes, we met Andrew who was looking mighty fine unshowered and dressed down. We introduced ourselves and gave him a gift Sam had gotten him, a tiny red flashing guitar to pin on his shirt. Sadly, he missed that conversation at lunch so he didn't understand why at the time. =P
Sam and I spent way to many hours walking from the front of the venue to the back area where the bus was parked hoping to catch the boys coming and going from the bus. We saw Andrew a few more times and boy does he like to talk on his cell phone, lol
So really, all we did for the entire day, up until it was time for the show to start was try and run into the guys again. Sadly, for Sam, it didn't pay off. Cale never came out before the show. Torres, on the other hand, did. So um, I was a very, very happy girl when I saw him. What made it even better was the shirt I was wearing, one Sam and I made specifically for the show...an I ♥ Bass Players shirt. Oh, Torres was loving it!! He saw my shirt and said, “Oh my god, I love it!” I laughed, looked at him and said, “Well, good b/c I love you!” Did I get my flirt on w/ him? Yes, I did. ;)
I ended up getting a pic w/ Torres and w/ my Bass Player shirt, me holding very tightly to his waist, while Sam gave him his flashing red guitar, which he freaking loved! And he even remembered our conversation about them at lunch so it made it a million times better. After that he had to go so I said, “I'll see you after the show tonight,” and y'all, he looked at me and said, “I know. I'll see ya then,” smirked and went back onto the bus. My life was MADE! =D
As sad as it was, Kris and Cale didn't come out before the show so we didn't get to see them...then. Sam ran into Ryland right before the door were opening so she got to give him his red guitar, which she said he loved.
Onto the show.....
Would you like to know where we stood for the show? You remember the first show we attended in Nashville? Remember how amazing my pix were b/c I was front and center for Kris Allen? Well, go ahead and say it, say you hate me b/c ladies, I was front and center...AGAIN!
Yep, you read that right. Samantha and I ended up being like the 6th or so people through the door and yet, we were STILL front and center. Oh, I was a very happy camper. Not only b/c of that but b/c I was on Torres' side, just a foot or two away from him.
For whatever reason, Cale was literally in the far corner of the stage area. It was...not a good thing. We missed having him close, Kris did too, it was obvious.
A highlight of the show for me was when Torres spotted me, smirked/grinned/winked and waved at me. I could have died right then and there. The girls beside of me...beyond jealous. All I could do was wave back and smile like an idiot, haha.
I think it was two songs in when Cale spotted us. Sam says he looked at us and smiled. I'm guessing he liked knowing he made it to the show safely. <3
Basically, Kris' set was just like every other headlining show he's done. He did all the favorites, 'Can't Stay Away', 'Heartless', 'Written All Over My Fave', 'The Truth', 'Red Guitar', 'Alright With Me, 'Man in the Mirror', 'Send Me All Your Angels', 'Is It Over', 'Don't Look Back in Anger', 'Rule the World' and 'Live Like We're Dying'. Plus and encore of 'Feel My Love', 'Falling Slowly' and 'Come Together'. Whoops, that's actually his entire set. =P
Oh, cute fact...the vest Kris was wearing, he took if off before the encore and when he was leaving the stage once he was finished, he actually threw it into the audience. This awesome guy beside of me caught it!! lol Poor him though, he almost got mauled. o.O
Also, once the show was over, Cale gave Sam a set list., which she got them all to sign Yep, the girls beside of her were pissed off majorly, haha. Oh well, Cale loves us. =P And lucky me, I got one of Kris' guitar picks!!!!
So, like always, once the show was over, Sam and I ran outside to where we knew the boys would be heading. We didn't have to wait long b/c, I believe, Cale was the first one out. Well, you can imagine how happy Sam was, can't you? We made our way to Cale and of course, we got hugs, pics, autographs on our shirts and a nice conversation w/ him. But the poor boy was exhausted. He didn't stick around too long outside, just long enough to be nice to all the fans before he was heading back onto the bus.
We got pix w/ Andrew and Ryland and we got them to sign the back of our shirts as well. All in all, everyone, band members, fans, rank strangers really um, liked my shirt. o.O I was shocked, to say the least.
If I spent a good hour or so w/ Torres, that doesn't make me weird, right? And if I just happened to have my arm wrapped around his waist, I'm still not a weird-o, am I? Cause I did and that's how I stood while we talked. But hey, he kept his arm around me too so, we can both be weird-os together. =P I got Torres to sign my I ♥ Bass Players shirt, only not on the back. I asked him to sign it on the front...in the heart. O.O And...he did. All the while smirking at me while I blushed like crazy. But I gave him a bracelet, which he really seemed to like, so its all good. =)
Now...onto seeing Kris Allen again...when he saw us, he smiled big and bright, which just made my night, haha. While Sam spoke to him and explained all the car troubles we'd had, I talked to Lizzie, who is seriously a kick ass woman!! She looked at me and said, “So, are we doing group pictures, individual pictures or what this time?” I just laughed b/c even Lizzie knows us by now. =P
When Sam gave Kris his red flashing guitar he goes, “Oh, I've seen these around today,” which made us laugh. I said, “Yeah, Sam got one for everybody,” which made Lizzie reply w/, “Not everybody.” And boy, was she glaring at Sam. -giggles- I think Sam tried to apologize but Lizzie came back w/, “I bet Steve got one!” I jumped in and said no, he didn't and that made it all better. Seriously though, Lizzie..is..epic!
Now, my mother met Kris Allen. My mother was also wearing her favorite Keith Urban shirt. My mother doesn't care that its KRIS ALLEN when she meets him. Nope. Instead, she starts asking him about Keith Urban and loudly says, “I just wanna be his nanny!” Oh, y'all...I died, right there on the streets of Orlando. But um, Kris got us all when he said, “I just want him to be my daddy!” Even Lizzie lost it, LMAO.
So, Sam, my mom and myself all got pix w/ Kris and as I was walking away I feel a hand on mine. I looked back and Kris had grabbed me. He was smiling when he said, “Lets do lunch again.” Well, color me tickled completely pink b/c I just grinned and said, “Yes, lets.” Kris Allen, ladies and gents, the sweetest man alive. ♥
I would end this there but there is ONE more thing I gotta say that happened to me as I was, once again, trying to leave. I had just walked away from speaking w/ Kris when I felt a set of arms wrap around me. I'm in a weird place I've never been in before so my first instinct it to freak out but then I hear, “Wait, don't leave yet,” Guys...it was Torres. I turned around and he said, “I want a picture w/ you.” -blinks- Excuse me? You want a what w/ me? Turns out he'd been telling their merch guy about the shirt I'd made so they wanted to get a pic of us, me w/ Torres in my shirt, before I left. Once again, arms around each other, ladies...I was in heaven. -dreamy sigh-
Embarrassing moment of the night: As I was telling Sam about Kris inviting us to lunch again I kept saying 'Kris' and she thought I was meaning 'Chris', as in Torres who I seem to talk about an awful lot. I said, 'No, Sam, I'm telling you that little Kris invited us out to lunch again, not tall Chris,” only to find out that little Mister 'I like to eves drop' Allen, heard me call him “little Kris”. -facepalm- That is my life, guys, lol.
So, all in all, the concert and our time w/ Kris and the band was amazing, like always. Enjoy my meet and greet pix for now. Tomorrow, I'll post the actual concert pictures, k?
♥
And, the man of the night, KRIS ALLEN and ME!
