So, I Had Lunch w/ Kris Allen on Monday....

Maybe I should start from the very beginning...so, on Monday I saw Kris Allen in Nashville, TN at the Cannery Ballroom. I went with princess10388 and we, thinking and anticipating a large crowd, left her house at 6:00AM and headed to the venue. Obviously, we were the first ones there, arriving at 8:00AM, so with our pillows and blanket we grabbed our spot at the front of the line. We had drinks and snacks and were basically ready to make a whole day of sitting/standing in line and making sure we were right up front during the show.
So, nine o'clock rolls around, then ten and eleven and nothing and no one shows up. By this point me and Sam are just laughing it up b/c seriously, only we would show up BEFORE the venue staff and workers. Around eleven-thirty or so a lady walks in and says we're fine but that the band is coming to unload and we'll need to step outside to keep out of their way. No biggie. We pack up our stuff, change our clothes b/c, HELLO, the BAND is coming and we sit on the steps and wait. Around noon a tour bus pulls in w/ a small trailor and we sit and watch some guys unload the tour equipment.
Here comes the good part...while we were waiting and expecting the band to walk off of the tour bus, who should step out when the doors open? Well, it was Miss Katy herself, lol. So cute and petite and just, freaking adorable and while we're freaking out b/c Katy is there Kris comes off the bus and completely renders us speechless. Here you have TWO Kris Allen fangirls who were just, hours ago, writing KRADAM PORN looking at Kris Allen himself walking towards us. Talk about an internal freak out. =P
Anyway, Kris along w/ Katy and his band start walking towards us and when Kris gets to us, mind you Sam and I are sitting on the steps of the venue, still alone!!, Kris says "Hi" so we say "Hi" right back. Then he asks if we know of any place to eat that's close by and we say "no" that we were just wondering the same thing and that if they find anything, could they please let us know. So Kris turns away from us and I look over at Sam and we're both like, jaws on the ground when Kris comes back over to us and asks, "would you two like to come have lunch with us?" O.O At the exact same time, Sam and I look at Kris and say "what?" so he repeats himself and asks again. In time w/ each other, we both reply "um, yeah, yes!" So we stand up, walk down the steps and Kris holds out his hand and says, "Hi, I'm Kris" and shakes our hands. He introduces Katy and the band, Chris, Cale and Rylan, and we introduce ourselves and well, we started walking the streets of Nashville looking for food.
It took half an hour, in 90 degree weather, walking w/ Kris, Katy, Cale, Chris and Rylan along w/ about a miles worth of street before we finally found FOOD, lol. Y'all wouldn't believe me if I told you how the boys, Kris and Cale, acted. I mean, sillyness, nothing bad at all. Both men were nothing but complete gentlemen the entire time. Unless you count walking us into oncoming traffic ungentlemenly of them...*giggles*
We ate at Urban Flats and once we were seated..Katy-Kris-Sam-Cale-Me-Chris-Rylan..Kris looks at me, then Sam and says "Order whatever you'd like and don't worry about it because I'll take care of it." We. Were. Speechless. Kris Allen, American Idol, invited us to lunch and then paid for it. I'm telling you, the man is the sweetest thing alive!! So for an hour and a half we sat w/ them and talked while we all ate. It was epic and a once in a lifetime kinda thing. I'm still not entire sure how it happened, just that it did and I'm soo thankful to Kris and Katy for being so incredibly generous and nice to us.
Moving on...Kris had to leave at two for an interview so we stay w/ everyone else. He ended up texting Cale saying he was sending a car back for us. Um, what? Chris and Rylan decided to walk and at first, Cale was going to walk w/ them. So, Sam and I were gonna ride back to the venue w/ Katy. But for whatever reason Cale changed his mind and rode back w/ us. Believe me, we didn't mind at all!! ;)
Sooo, back to the venue, we thanked Cale and Katy for lunch and went back to our seats on the steps, STILL ALONE, and they got on the bus. We were alone in line for 8 hours before another fan showed up. But before that we ended up talking to Chris and Rylan a couple times, then Katy once more and Kris again when he got back from his interview.
Jumping ahead five hours, we were first in the doors when they opened and front and center for the show. The opening act, GRO, was really good. But god, we wanted Kris out on the stage soo bad it wasn't even funny. Now, mind you, neither Sam nor myself had told anyone about lunch so once the show started and three songs in Kris looks at us and goes "My lunch buddies!" we freaked! Then he goes on to tell the entire audience that he met us earlier in the day and invited us out to lunch and then he walked us all over Nashville, lol. The girls around us were flipping the shit out!! But yeah, anyway, his show was AMAZING! I mean, omg, there was soo much energy and Kris couldn't stand still...he was all over that stage, singing and playing his guitar and just, lord, he was soo on his game last night. I ended up taking 252 pix of JUST the show! lol He was on stage for about an hour and a half and god, I don't think I ever stopped smiling!
After the show was over, we were determined to get our pix taken w/ everyone so we waited. Not sure how long but eventually they all came out and it was almost like they were coming to us! Chris and Cale, anyway. Chris found me and Sam, asked us if we enjoyed the show..he knew we did as, well, nevermind..but we both got a pic w/ Chris, who is his bass player btw. We thanked him for lunch again, he smiled and said it was fun, and OMG, it really was. Then came Cale and really, this man is soo caring! When he saw us he couldn't believe we were still there, lol. We told him it was nearing 16 hours for us and he asked if we were driving home. We told him yes and he freaked. He seemed soo concerned, knowing we hadn't slept all day. After I told him we hand't slept, or that we'd tried to sleep on the concrete up there, Cale looks at me and says, "Why didn't you come and get on the bus?" O.O I said, "Cale, we didn't know we could!" He almost looked embarassed when he said, "Sorry." But anyway, we got our pix w/ Cale too and he asked us about Adam..we'd already spoke about him once earlier in the day during lunch..then we told him bye and he told us to drive home safe.
Then came Kris...god love him. He signed for every person in that parking lot and for us it was nearing one AM. But once again, when he saw me and Sam he says, "There's my lunch buddies! Did you have a good time today?" And uh, yes Kris, we had an amazing time!! We talked about lunch again, thanked him properly this time and asked for pix, which we got. Then, well then we told him about seeing Adam and how originally we were supposed to see Adam that night but we sold our tickets so that we could come and see him instead. Y'all...if you could have seen the look of pure devistation that passed his face when we said that. He looked at us and said, "Why? Why would you do that?" Now I'm as shy as hell but I looked at him and said, "Because you're Kris Allen! We wanted to see you! This was our only chance to see you." Kris looked completely shocked. Sam quickly told him that we were still seeing Adam in thre weeks and Kris goes, "So wait, you are still seeing Adam? So, you're still seeing him?" We say "yes" and he looks releieved when he said, "Good." We spoke for a few minutes more, thanked him again, and left.
As we were leaving we spot Katy, jump outta the car, walk up to her and ask for a pic. She's all smiles and adorableness as we start talking about lunch and the show and really, she's amazing. We got our pix w/ Katy and then left.
It was a 17 hour day for us and let me just tell you...it was worth the no sleep, no food or drink and killer sunburn I got. We got to meet Kris Allen. He invited us to lunch w/ him. He stood front and center for his show in Nashville. And to top off a most epically amazing day, we got pix w/ everyone, Kris Allen included. So yeah, it was all definitely worth it.
