"Trying To Help You Out" was co-written by Kelly Clarkson, who lends background vocals to the track. The track is full of heartbreaking pop goodness - a cautionary tale to a loved one that pursuit will result in imminent heartbreak. There's beauty in restraint as Kelly Clarkson Clarkson harnesses her trademark vocals creating more of a haunting effect, allowing Ms. Arrison to stand out.
