It was after his performance, during commercial. Info courtesy of someone who was in the audience. Apparently some of the other idols did too but they don't really matter.

i read Tim was the first to run up and hug andrew too and seem to hug others on a regular... yep s9 actually does have a hugger.. thought that was impossible for awhile
