I'm glad they gave a shout out to some of the out singers/musicians that are around. It's surprising how many there are once you start writing them down (not as many as I would like, but differently more than one might think at first ( ... )

I was about to comment with pretty much your second paragraph exactly. We're so quick to turn on anyone who doesn't "behave" around straight people.

I don't understand why Madonna gets so much love for continually borrowing and referencing "the gay community" and she gets tons of love but as soon as an actual gay person puts that shit out in the public, they get crap for it.

Totally valid rant.
