Time for my Cleveland review in which:

-Everything relates to Idol
¬Everyone tries to get me to stan them (It worked on a few!)
-I get scorned by both my BlackBerry and Anoop

NOTE: The concert pictures did not turn out that great, so those will not be posted. There are some from the barriers both before and after the show, AND video of My Prerogative!

I got to Cleveland a little before 4 on Saturday. Instead of just driving up for one day, I made a weekend out of it and went to the Mariners/Indians game that night. Great game, walkoff home run in the 11th inning. Then after the game they had a sing-along fireworks show that started with this:

Yeah. There were several other songs that were done on Idol this season in the show too. Got back to the hotel and went to sleep.

Sunday I left the hotel about 12 for Wolstein. There were maybe 15-20 people waiting outside at the time, so I joined them. Right afterwards my three-day-old BlackBerry Storm crashed. I freaked out, but it reset itself after about five minutes. The girls next to me were all Kris stans/Kradison fans, and started talking about how they wanted to meet everyone except Anoop. They said if he came out they’d say “Hi, I hate you, go away,” or something like that. I was not happy about that. I didn’t care for Danny or Michael, but if they came out I wouldn’t say anything like that. The Glamberts were out in full force. One had on a pair of white capris, black shirt, hat and sunglasses that ALL said Glambert on it…the pants were atrocious. They were written ALL OVER (and my attempts to get a picture of this without looking creepy failed). The busses pulled in around 1:30 or so. About then, a really sweet 13-year-old Adam fan came up and she and I started talking for quite a while. Around 3, there was well over 100 people there, enough that they had to bring out caution tape to extend the end of the barricades. All throughout the afternoon, people kept walking up and down the driveway where the busses had gone and the trucks were parked. At 3:15, a group of guys started walking up. Someone yelled down to them that the guy in yellow lost his wallet out of his pants. It doesn’t take long for everyone to realize it’s not just another random guy but…Matt!

He started at the opposite end so it took a while to get up to me. When he walked over, he said “Hey sweetie,” and I about died. I had him sign the picture I brought with me, then asked if I could have a picture, even though I’m horrible at self shots and would probably cut him off. He laughed and said that was okay, but Carly (the 13-year-old) offered to take it for me.

The show did no justice to showing Matt’s beauty. Boy is GORGEOUS!

Around this time both Kris and Megan came from nowhere and started signing on my side.

You can’t see it there, but badnewsrus noticed in other pictures that she was wearing an Anoop bracelet. /Meganoop moment. Anyway, she reached me first. The picture I had of her was from her performance of Turn Your Lights Down Low, which of course was the week she was eliminated. I apologized for it and she said it was okay. I got a picture, but she turned away before I could get one of both of us.

This meant Pocket Idol was next. I could not say a word.

By the way, he smells like heaven on Sundays too.

Oh, hi Twizzlers in ass pocket!

Kris worked his way down the line as Matt and Megan finished and went back inside. Next person out was Danny. First thing I noticed: he had on a sleeveless shirt. I have a thing for arms. This wasn’t going to end well.

He was ready for the picture after that. I apologized and said I already took it, which he laughed at. He went down the line, just signing and saying he’d try to get pics with us if time permitted since it was closing in on 4. He did end up coming back. (Note: I didn’t change my glasses just for him, it had started getting cloudy and I couldn’t see.)

It was 4 when Danny finished, so I knew that was all we were getting. Most people started leaving, but a few were holding on to hope that Adam was coming. I went to get food with an older mother/daughter set that loved both Kris and Adam. We had a good talk at the restaurant about the show and everything. After that we headed back to the arena, getting there about 6. They had floor seats, and I didn’t, so I went to my seat.

This ruined my plans completely. I had brought these:

to throw at Anoop and Matt during the show. It’s okay, I wasn’t too disappoint.

Showtime! Sarver was…actually good! I was really surprised by him. He really got the crowd going, at least until two women in my section started complaining about people standing up and blocking their views. Plus, knowing he was ill that night makes me really appreciate him now.

Megan was next. I love her as a person, but her voice has always been subpar to me. When she started Put Your Records On? I think I started stanning her. She worked it out!

Scott came up and he did well also. I started thinking I was in an alternate Idol universe where I loved everyone. Obviously I have a soft spot for A Thousand Miles since my LJ name came from that same album.

After going 3-for-3 on winning me over, I wondered if Lil would continue the trend. She did…somewhat. Be Without You and Single Ladies were great, but No One was boring. I don’t know if it’s that I’m over the song or I was anxious for the next two performers to start or what.

Of course we all know what happens after Lil leaves the stage. For those of you that don’t know, I was not an Anoop stan when I started going here. I started feeling the love in June and it’s grown so much. His set was amazing. Gorgeous voice, fine moves, and everything else. And I promised the video so here you go!

I’ve spent the last month falling in love with Matt’s music, so his set was a HUGE highlight. Dear record labels: sign this man! Also, the note he hit towards the end of Georgia was like whoa.

When the medley started I got ready to tweet something, but noticed my phone was down to a bar and a half of battery after eight hours. I basically missed Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You. It sounded like the girls did well though. Tell Her About it was incredible. When Michael came out I wondered if my sudden love would end. It didn’t, he worked the song out. And then there was Beggin’. I may have died.

The screams any time Adam appeared on screen were nearly deafening, so I couldn’t wait until Allison started. I’m sorry, but how many 17-year-olds have talent like this? She was super fierce on stage, especially when she was rocking out with Tim.

Danny, sorry to say, was the lowpoint of the show. Part because he wasn’t keeping my focus (I actually put my camera away for most of the set). Part because hi, Kradam next. I will say that his speech before My Wish was not as bad as I thought it would be…it was really sweet!

And then we get to Adam. While everyone owns the stage, he owned the fucking ARENA. I liked him a bit going in since his style wasn’t my kind of thing, but after his set, I knew I was a stan. I screamed even louder than I did when Anoop came out. Even on Mad World, which I did not like on the show, he killed it. During Slow Ride a few things were thrown on stage. One I thought was a pom-pom but may have been a boa, and Allison just kind of kicked it away. Then during Fame I saw a pink pom-pom and something blue on stage that were ignored. Adam, you have my heart. And my phone died during the Bowie Medley, so I couldn’t update afterwards.

Kris’ set was so wonderful. I was reminded why I still kept watching season 8 when I was about to give up on it. I’m ready for November 17 to get here and then a solo tour afterwards. I will go!

I was conflicted with Don’t Stop Believing. I was sad because it meant the show was over, but it also meant KRADAM! which I almost missed thanks to Anoop being on my side of the stage. But yes, both boys did their little dance. Then towards the end, Anoop and Matt put an arm around each other in a hug and I flailed a lot. Both of my bromances showed up. What and ending.

I had debated doing the barricades after the show so I wanted to see how the crowd looked before I made up my mind. I got stuck in the masses, but I was only three people back so it wasn’t too bad. If the Glamberts I had to deal with in the afternoon were bad, these were insufferable. They said if he didn’t come out they’d cry. There was a girl in front of me in a wheelchair. She was set to have surgery on the 26th (I didn’t ask what for) and all she wanted to do was meet Adam. She was really sweet, as was her sister who spent most of the time trying to get people to stop pushing up into them.

Megan came out first. At that point I realized ‘wait, I don’t have anything for the people that signed this afternoon to sign again’ so I decided on my ticket, which she did. Lil and Allison came out together and went down the line pretty fast so they didn’t get my pictures. The next people in front of me were...Kranny. Somehow they both missed me, which since they were out earlier was fine. They crossed paths near me, but no, I didn’t hear what they were saying…mostly because Adam had just shown up and my eardrums were being murdered. He went down the line and whoa, he really is that gorgeous up close. When he got to the girl in the wheelchair, he talked to her for a good minute which I thought was really sweet.

Scott and not-Todd were next. It had started clearing out while people who didn’t get Adam to sign things followed him down the line.

After him was Matt, and get this…I have a picture of him scorning me. He skipped me too.

This meant only two people were left to come out. Michael was the first one. He had told the girls next to me he wasn’t able to give them any hugs because he didn’t feel great, but he was still really sweet.

After he made his way down the line (which had shrunk in size after the people who only wanted Adam left…which, why? That was disrespectful to the others.), I started getting a little excited. Then someone came up to the security guard to talk to them, and he announced that that was the end of the signing. That meant no Anoop. Was I disappointed? Yes. Did I get over it fast? Yes, because I still had an amazing day!

My ticket with Megan’s signature

And it didn’t end there…the next day I went to Tower City and found this sign in the Carvel/Cinnabon shop. Idol infiltrates ice cream too!
