WANNA GO TO THE CHICAGO SHOW?
So here's my story:
Originally I was going to go to the concert on Wednesday with a couple friends of mine. I bought four tickets back in June and told my friends they'd have until the day of the concert to get the money to me.
Last week they decided they weren't going to go. I don't know what it was that changed their minds -- they said it was for financial reasons, but they're going to other concerts left and right (shit like Creed and Nickelback, seriously, what the hell) so something tells me that they just don't want to go to the Idol show.
Alright, fine, I say. Fair enough; they know I'll just ramble through the whole thing like the ridiculous fangirl that I am. I'll find someone else who wants the tickets. I figured I'd be able to find someone here, since everyone here is, you know, awesome, and would certainly appreciate going to an Idol concert. I posted a thread in the ticket sales post. No takers.
I tried posting on craigslist and had a few bites, but ... I really don't want to go with some random craigslist creeper. I want these tickets to go to someone who is really going to enjoy the experience, who really wants to go see the Idols. I want to give back to the community that's helped make my summer terribly entertaining.
So I'm going to give these tickets away. Free. No cost. I know I'm losing money on this, but this way just ... feels right to me. I don't even care about the money. I want to help out someone who's going to be just as into this as I am and who is going to actually enjoy the show.
I have two extra tickets. They're on the second level (section 213, row H), so I know they're not great, that they're not as exciting as backstage passes or floor seats, but they're still tickets.
Does anyone want them?
