So we didn't meet anyone, our seats weren't incredibly close, and we ran into some pro-Adam/anti-Kris peeps. It was still an amazing night.
(AH! MY FIRST POST!)
We didn't actually leave for the Wachovia Center until about 4:30, so, obviously, we didn't get to meet the Idols. I was an extremely sad panda. But there was still hope for after the concert.
My three friends and I wore t-shirts that we made supporting Adam and Kris. Mine was green and was really a Kris only shirt, but I added "Team Kradam" at the last minute =)
Now, the back of the shirt was a mess (well, the whole shirt was, but this was bad). I wanted to put all of the songs Kris had performed throughout the season on it. I managed to but this is what it came out like:
This was my first t-shirt I made with this paint. That and my lack of artistic talent is why it kinda sucks =/ But oh well.
So we get there, get inside, and who do we find, but.... ADAM LAMBERT?! WHAT?
Oh, wait, no. It's only a look-a-like. A girl look-a-like. She had a sign that said "ADAM LAMBERT'S LONG LOST SISTER." People were coming up to her and taking pictures. It was a little.... strange =/
Also, I saw more than a couple Kris shirts, which made me really happy. The little girls who sat in front of us were big Kris and Adam fans.
The concert finally starts at about 7:10-7:15. Sarver comes out and the place seemed... well, less than thrilled. I mean, no one was screaming or singing along or anything. I felt bad. He was good, but I understand why the crowd wasn't very pumped.
(sorry this picture was such a fail. The zoom was being really weird)
Next is Megan. She was good, a lot better than I thought she would be, though I still don't think I'm much of a fan =/
(again, a major picture fail)
Scott is a thousand times better live. I absolutely adored "A Thousand Miles." And his Rocky joke. And the Seacrest high-fiving him joke.
I was extremely surprised by Lil. Gurl really can sing! I loved "Single Ladies," and my friends and I were attempting to do Joe Jonas's version of it.
Unfortunately, I was the only Anoop fan in my group =( So I was the only one screaming and cheering when he did "My Perogative." I LOVED HIM EVEN MORE LIVE.
(yay for the zoom starting to work!!!)
Matt was honestly the one I'd been waiting for for the first half of the show. And OHMYGOD HE'S AMAZING. This probably happened at other concerts, but during "Georgia On My Mind," he said something along the lines of, "This is for all the hardcore fans" and put his hat on. I SCREAMED RIDICULOUSLY LOUD AND MY FRIENDS LOOKED AT ME LIKE, "WTF?"
I don't even remember the group number; I just remember thinking, "HOLY CRAP KRIS AND ADAM ARE COMING SOON!"
Intermission time. Nothing interesting happened at all.
I was freaking out when Allison came out. So was the crowd. One of friends told me that the lady - the OLD lady, I might add - sitting behind her was complaining about Allison's voice, so my friend kept screaming, "I LOVE ALLISON!" to annoy her =) She was awesome by the way. "Cry Baby" was unbelievable. I know everyone says this, but HOW IS SHE ONLY 17?!
(my Allison pics were terrible, so I posted the only two good ones)
Danny came out. I was less than thrilled, but the crowd was going nuts. He has a good voice, there's just nothing special about it. I didn't think his speech was preachy at all. I thought it was really nice. The anti-Allison lady was like "NOW THIS IS GOOD MUSIC." =/
After Danny exited, the crowd knew exactly who was coming next. As soon as Adam came out, the whole place went CRAZY. I felt like I was back at the Jonas Brothers concert, what with all the screaming girls. Of course, he was... I can't even describe how UNREAL his voice is. It's... otherworldly. "Mad World" legit gave me goosebumps. And his dancing? HOT. My friend who sat next to me is a HUGE Adam stan and she was screaming her head off. And "Slow Ride"? FIERCE. Anti-Allsion Lady also proved to be anti-Adam and apparently covered her ears for that whole number.
Adam exited and I started freaking. I honestly thought I was going to cry and have a nervous breakdown and be like that Sanjaya fangirl. But when Kris came up, I screamed louder than I ever have before. My mom was sitting next to me and I think I damaged her ears. I wasn't the only one, though. There was a lot of noise for Kris and he got a lot of cheers. The minute he sang "IN THE NIIIIIGHT" I was on the verge of tears. "All These Things That I've Done" was by far my favorite, though. The crowd went crazy when he said "SING ALONG!" for the "I got soul but I'm not a soldier" part. I think the whole place was singing along. Everyone was singing for "Hey Jude" and it was the first time we stood up all night because we're wimps and didn't want to block anyone's view =/
(my camera's battery was running low, so I didn't get any Kris on piano pics =( )
And for LOLZ, here's Kris's entrance. Watch/listen with caution (yes, that is me screaming like a fucking maniac):

We left right after "Goodbye" so we could get a good spot at the barricades. After going to the wrong spot, we finally found the right place and got an okay spot where we weren't right up against the barricade, but we could easily reach our hands through to get an autograph. A whole Glambert family was next to me with two fourteen-year-old girls wearing Mrs. Lambert shirts. Those two and the mother were all, "Yeah, I think that rumor of Kris winning because of the AT&T thing is true." And they just were being rude about Kris. I was pretty mad, what can ya do?
Since I'm only 15 and can't drive yet (only two months!!), my parents came with us. By 11:15, no one had come out, so my parents said that we had to leave because they had to get up for work the next day. So we had to leave =(
And I couldn't give Kris my card I made for him and Adam (bonus Wolfgang!):
So that's about it. Nothing very exciting, but I just wanted to share =)
Oh and P.S. Does anyone new Kris's or Adam's new fanmail address? I really would like to send either of them that card.
