-Favorite Idol performance ON TOUR & reason why
-Album you're anticipating (whether or not that Idol is signed yet)
For me:
-My favorite Idol performance on the show was when Matt performed "Let's Get It On". Why? Because it was hilarious watching him wearing that V-neck sweater and his cutesy loafers and his attempt to look totally professional and just looking ridiculously cute. Oh yeah, and the song was really LOLIRL paired with his attire. If you guys forgot which outfit it was:
-My favorite Idol studio recording is, hands-down, "You Found Me" (though Adam's cover of "One" comes as a close second). It's so much better than the Fray's version of it, because he actually hits some of the most incredible notes that I was afraid were too risky but now, as I listen to it over and over again, it's just perfect.
-My favorite Idol performance on tour ties between "All The Things That I've Done" (Kris) and "Hard To Handle" (Matt). They're both phenomenal performers. I love Kris's performance of the Killers song because it's exactly when he's in his element: performing something with an alternative kind of sound to it, and I love that song, too. I love Matt's rendition of the Black Crowes song because that's exactly the kind of music I want to hear him making when he gets signed.
-Albums I'm anticipating (and will most likely buy as soon as they're out)
MATT GIRAUD.
KRIS ALLEN.
ALLISON IRAHETA.
(AND MAYBE ADAM LAMBERT.)
ETA: Matt just had an interview and it says he's booked for a solo show in January 2010. Now I have no fucking idea where and how I will get there (as I will be in my freshman year of college then) but I REALLY WANT TO SEE HIM. He says that he's booked a bunch of solo shows to raise funds and whatnot, but he doesn't know if it's the beginning of a solo show until he's signed.
Speaking of him being signed, he's in talks with many record companies and it's looking good. Matt stans, save the dates: 8/26 (Auburn Hills, MI) and 9/6 (Grand Rapids, MI) and trend #signmattgiraud as much as you can! Limit one per tweet, or you'll get limited like I did.
