We had third row in section C, which is the pit section and OMFG. These seats were AMAZING. Anyway...on to the show.
First up was Sarver. I thought I'm In Love With A Girl was a good song for him so I sat there singing along. There was a girl with a "Marry Me Michael" sign in our section...I wondered if she goes here. Closer was fine, I don't know about the choice but overall I thought he did well.
Megan was next. This girl is freakin' GORGEOUS...it's too bad they dolled her up like a real life Barbie. The first thing I noticed was that her dress was riding up and her gold shorts were showing. She sounded waaaay better here than she ever did on the show, specifically on Put Your Records On. I couldn't get past the cheesy little background when she was singing Tears Dry On My Own.
Up next...Scotty "The Body" MacIntyre. He did a lovely rendition of a Keane song (the title escapes me, it's late) and got into his banter about being blind, which definitely made me LOL for real. He does A Thousand Miles and he's finished.
Lil is next. She reprised Be Without You and did a really nice rendition of No One. Single Ladies was really the first time were on their feet all night and dancing. While she was good, I honestly thought she was kinda karaoke.
Next is ANOOP. Dude is one smooth motherfucker that's for sure. Always On My Mind is fantastic. He did a great job on his second song (AGAIN I KNOW IT'S RECENT BUT IT'S LATE) and then went into My Prerogative. I was up and dancing along with this one. But...HOLY CRAP HIS HIPS! I've seen the video and the gifs here but HOLY SHIT that was hot in person.
Speaking of hot, Matty G was up next. UNF UNF UNF...I have no words. There is just something about him that I find incredibly hot. Anyway, Hard To Handle was a lot of fun and unf. HIS FUCKING ASS MY GOD *AHEM*. Georgia had me swooning, just *le sigh* and I remembered why I originally picked him. You Found Me was fantastic...a million times better than on the show. Someone threw something on stage for him, but it landed under the piano and I couldn't tell what it was. Underwear perhaps? Anyway, not being biased or anything, but he was by far the best of the first half.
The first half was almost done so it was time for the Motown medley. HOLY CRAP I FUCKING LOVED BEGGIN'. I NEED MORE OF THAT IN MY LIFE.
LOOOOONG INTERMISSION...
First up after the break was the Junior HBIC, Allison. This girl is a freakin' rockstar through and through. I can only imagine how great she'll be in five years or so. She kicks off with So What, rocking on the guitar. But holy shit, Crybaby was incredible. I actually got goosebumps. No words. Barracuda was a ton of fun, her and the guitarist rocking out on it. On a side note, she is incredibly difficult to take pictures of because she doesn't stop moving!
Ugh next is Gokey. I actually didn't think he was too bad, but I didn't think he was any great shakes either. PYT was fun but I thought the dancing in Maria Maria was kind of awkward. I could have done without the Rascal Flatts songs, but again I'm not really a big country fan. Actually, I could have done without Gokey but whatever.
Next up is the HBIC himself...Adam. I'm not really a fan of his but his really is quite the master showman. I finally get why others like him so damn much. It started off with a bang with Whole Lotta Love and mic stand sexing. I thought Starlight was really good. I'm not that familar with Muse but it was good stuff. Mad World was great as usual and Slow Ride with Allison was a ton of fun. That's where all the stuff was thrown on stage. First thing I saw fly on there was a XXLarge jock strap and Adam incorporated it in the song. I didn't notice a bright green squishy toy (wtf @ me), but I did see the massive DD bra that was thrown. I was cracking up. Last was the Bowie medley, which I thought was the highlight of his set. It was just a lot super fabulous fun.
Lastly, we get to everyone's favorite Pocket Idol, Kris. He kicks off with Heartless and everyone was standing (except for the stupid bench in front of me, who did her best to ruin my Adam pics) singing along. I didn't realize how many sex faces this boy makes until I was going through my pictures. Jesus. Anyway, All These Things That I've Done was next. I'm so glad that super shitastic No Boundaries was cut because this is so much better. It was probably my favorite of his set. Anal/Ain't No Sunshine was next on the piano, but Bright Lights...holy piano bench humping! DAMN! Also another note, if he unbuttons that freakin' shirt anymore, he might as well just take it off. Quit being such a tease, Kristopher. Last is Hey Jude. This is one of my favorite Beatles songs, so I was just swaying and singing along. It is freakin' stupid to compare Adam and Kris...they're different artists/performers. They're both great, so just STFU.
Time for the biggest karaoke song in the history of the world, Don't Stop Believin'! Matt and Scotty start off on the piano. Matt accidently my camera for part of DSB *ahem*. The place went nuts when Kradam rose from the stage. Oh, btw Kris...subtlety, you are doing it wrong, honey. It was a fun way to close to show and then it was over. BOO! :(
Overall, I had fantastic time tonight. I can't believe it's almost three! YIKES!
ETA: I'll post more pictures tomorrow/later today. I'm freakin' tired!
