Charlotte, NC. photos && re-cap
ok. this is my first post on here. i hope i do it right.
anyway..i went to Charlotte over the weekend to see the Idols && i have tonza pix.
also, give it up for my mommy ya'll. she was a total trooper and stuck thru it all with me, even in the hot ass sun for 5hrs!!
on saturday morning me, mommy, & daddy met up with our group at a local parking lot behind the arena. we hung around there for about an hour, til we heard that the idols were either there or on their way and we moved over to the barricades to wait. this was around 11-11.30am. we hung out there (me and mommy had gotten a huge water, thank God) and waited for the idols to come out. the security walked around for a long time, counting us, and some other ppl came out with programs. they were 25$ and i think i invested wisely cos i got 7 out of 10 idols sigs on my program, yay me!! :D
we all were infront of the doors, in a great spot, waiting. the first idol out was Kris Allen and he was tiny, let me tell ya, lol. i got his autograph on my program. and me and mommy got a pic with him and he touched my arm and i spazzed out. he was a total sweetie pie and cute as could be.
^^ignore me. i look horrid. i'd been out in the sun for quite a while by the time Kris came out.
after him, anoop came out. he's taller than i expected. he couldn't take pix with us but i got some good pix of him.
after anoop, danny gokey came by. he was taking pix, as he signed, but i got his autograph and wasn't able to turn to get a pic with him. he did stop and pose, tho, lol. he is very good looking in person, btw, and super sweet. i told him i liked his necklace which had a crown & sophia inside a heart, he smiled and said thank you :) i didn't care much for gokey thru out the competition (i thought he sounded the same every week, no matter what he sang and during the top 4 i thought he was kinda smug and there after, i just didn't care much for his condescending attitude) also after idol, i didn't care much for some of the stuff he said or the way he behaved. but i gotta tell ya, i'm a converted soul, i'm actually a fan of danny gokey now. God help me, lol. mom liked him an awful lot and i was skeptical, til he turned out to be a really sweet dude and was nothing but friendly and gracious towards all of us (even the ones he knew for a fact was there for Adam)
matt came thru next and he was just joking with everyone and laughing and having a grand ol time. someone hollered that his future wife was out there waiting and he said really? what's her name? and they said Keri and he said Keri Giraud, has a nice ring to it. LOL. (so i guess he wasn't scorned for a few minutes) he took the program out of my hand, lol, and had to turn it around to sign it cos i was such a spazz. he's actually quite cute in person. and had this faux hawk thing going on with his hair, it was adorable. he had on a fedora with a crown pinned to it, which i just fell in love with.
then, megan joy came thru. ohmygosh!! new girl crush, lol. she is soooo beautiful. i told her she was pretty and she smiled and said thank you. mom got a pic with her and so did i :) she was super sweet and bouncy. i absolutely love that girl :D seriously, i want to have her babies or some shit, IDEK.
sarver was next. he was dancing down the line and talkin with everyone. he was such a sweet heart, too. he's very cute in person, looks like a good ol southern boy. and he's a gentleman too. he said yes ma'am to me and i melted, lol. i took a pic with him and so did mom. he told our group that sunrise florida boo'd kris and he wished they'd boo'd him instead. aww. a lil girl next to me, she squealed when he came by and he reach out to her and touched her back and said, are you ok? and she burst into tears, it was so sweeet. he really is a nice guy.
scott came out last, and he was really cool, laughing and signing and joking with everyone. his brother is a doll, btw. the girl next to me asked todd if he was enjoying the tour, and he said he was, he was lucky cos he just had to take care of scott and didn't have to perform, lol. he said they both were enjoying it and they are just 2 precious boys, no doubt, both of em were all smiles as they came thru.
adam, lil, and allison didn't come out during the afternoon signings.
the concert was AMAZINGLY AWESOME!! OMG. they all did great. i was screaming for all of em, lol. and danny gokey really surprised me during his set. he did some badass latin dance moves, wow. matt surprised me with his stage presence and ability to get the crowd worked up. anoop teared up 2x on stage cos he was home..it was sweet, the reception he got was fantastic!! allison rocked that stage, she tore the place up!! kris was great, he sounded so good. and adam..? baby boy sure did his thing up there. when he came out, the crowd went NUTZ. he didn't get as raunchy on WLL but he still gave us a great show. starlight and mad world were just breathtakingly beautiful. and when he and allison did slow ride, the crowd went nutz again. bras were thrown onstage, it was crazy. b4 slow ride, it got real dark and everyone was shouting and adam said, shut up, and we just screamed louder, LOL. during his bowie medley, he went into his zone and it was amazing. ohmygosh, he was doing all that sexy dancing, writhing around and he was fantastic.
after the concert, i got out to the barricades and found a sweet spot behind 2 lil girls. i got up close enough to see pretty good (i'd heard to be the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd person from the barricade and he'd see ya) we stood out there for probably 2hrs, waiting.
Lil, Allison, && Megan Joy came out first.
allison ran by so quick, i didn't get a good pic of her or her autograph cos all i had on me was my Rolling Stone. she's smaller than i thought she was, on the show, but her hair is amazing. it just flows perfectly :) such a cute girl.
same with Lil, she was just too darn fast for me, lol. she was very pretty up-close, tho. i did see her face, for like a split second, very pretty girl.
then, gokey and sarver came out. followed by kris and matt. they got screams, ya kno, from the crowd, but when Adam came out the crowd went INSANE!! it was a frenzy of screaming and shouting, chaos, and a total rush!! i kept getting knocked around, but i held my own, lol. a girl to my side said she saw adam's hair and i was like, omg omg omg. and he when he got to us, she said, he's right there, he's coming, and i freaked out a lil. i said to the girl beside me, i said, "omg he's beautiful, ain't he?" and she said, "yes he is." and the next thing i kno, he was standing right infront of me. i reach my rolling stone to him and he autographed it and i think i managed to say thank you, lol. someone hollered at him and he turned and smiled really big and let me tell ya'll, i heard angels sing, no lie. it was like a heavenly creature was standing 3ft from me. i have seen heaven, ya'll. and it was beautiful.
OMG. when he came thru where i was standing, he was just beaming. he smiled really big a few times, cos ppl were like, "adam adam look over here" and the girl beside me she was wearing a blue strappy shirt and she'd told me she'd said, "i got this special made for the concert, for adam, that's why it's blue" and we chatted a bit she was so excited, lol. when he came our way, after he'd signed my RS, i just reach it to him and he took it and signed it and handed it back to me, i think he looked at me, but to be honest, it was all happening so fast, i was in awe of his beauty and i couldn't speak :P but the girl beside me she shouted, "adam, look at my shirt, i got it made to come see you. do you like it?" and he looked up, and smiled at her (probably both of us, actually, cos i was looking at him, too, and he might've gotten a glimpse of my shirt as well, i had one that said adam lambert and it had a rhinestone heart on it, so i like to think he did anyway) and he said, "yeah, it's very cool"
the girl that was in my group got a hug from him (she got to the barricades early, she left b4 Kris' set), she said that he came to her side of the barricades and she handed him a pic she'd drawn herself for him and he said, "aww, this is beautiful" and he asked her if she wanted him to sign it and give it back to her and she said, "no no. it's for you" and she said he smiled and said, "thanks honey." and she asked if he'd give her a hug and he said, "why sure" and hugged her. she was so happy and i'd met her on Friday nite so i was very happy for her :)
he really is a sweetie and he really does love his fans and appreciate us. that's one thing i absolutely love about him, the fact that he appreciates us and wants to talk with us and stuff. also, in the program all the idols thanked their fans and adam said something along the lines of: "i promise not to disappoint you" and it seriously made me tear up. he doesn't want to let us down, awwww.
but, God, my digital camera died on me, and i had to use mom's disposable flash camera and i just knew i didn't get a pic of adam. when i took my film to get it developed i set down and looked thru em expecting not to have one and there were actually 2 pix there, and ONE REALLY GOOD ONE, OMG. i started screaming in the middle of wal-mart and burst out cryin, snot and all, cos i was so friggin happy!! OMG.
