Danny Gokey's Gig Tonight
Some of you may recall me posting the other night that a friend of mine was at the Northwestern Mutual Insurance annual conference in Milwaukee this week, and that Danny Gokey was going to be performing tonight at the conference. ( Danny tweeted about it earlier today.) Well, my friend has been texting me about Danny's performance, so I thought I'd share with you lovely benches.
Set list: "Stand By Me", "Ain't To Proud (To Beg)", "My Wish", "PYT"
He said that Danny's performance was good, but a little rough vocally, and he should stay in his range. This is not news to most of us. He said the crowd loved him, and Danny got a good response out of them, and Northwestern Mutual gave Danny a check for $10,000 for the Sophia's Heart Foundation. Oh, and instead of getting his preach on before "My Wish", he did it when they presented him with the check, and got all choked up.
So I guess that answers the question of why Danny was doing this gig. Good for you, Danny Gokey! Way to make an honest buck for your charity. :)
