i raise my glass to the year 2007 and to those "good girls" left on this earth.
may those of us who believe that being honest and open -instead of the pseudo demure and alluring- win in the end. this is to those of us who treat people the way they should be treated. it's for those who embrace the prospect of love and don't shirk from our responsibilities to our families and friends.
may we learn to trust those worthy of our loyalty. to love like it's never hurt before. and to learn that sometimes it's okay not to put yourself out there to be hurt continuously. if we don't self-preserve eventually we won't have anything left. judge astutely. pursue if necessary but with the knowledge that you're taking a risk. let yourself be pursued.
be patient. find enjoyment in at least one thing every day. and remember how blessed you are.
