So people demanded a Sano - Tomo essay from me for some reason. But luckily! 8D Sano and Tomo's relationship [along with other key relationships my characters have] get essayed on every month or two so I DO have a timeline to look back at HAH. TAKE THAT. And I even just finished an essay a week or so ago explaining Sano's latest stance, so there. I am a big cheater just like Tomo whut. ANYWAY READ.
March 28
This one was short, so complete quote: "Sano really likes Tomo. She's friendly and energetic and pretty fun to talk to most of the time. She can be a little irritating at times, but she usually changes the subject so quickly that it's never really an issue. She's like a little sister that can be a pest at times but is pretty neat over all. |D One of the camp people he'll look out for when he isn't keeping an eye on his canon friends."

"Tomo is nothing like the girls in Sano's canon. She doesn't yell about the things that should trigger some kind of reaction [sex guru; impulsiveness; retardation]. She encourages them and lets Sano be who he wants to be and do what he wants, and she even does those things with him! Sano loves being able to do things like that . . .
. . . Lately Sano isn't as completely against the idea [a relationship] as he was initially. It's still not anything he'll agree to without heavy interference from others [hi Ed], but there is some small attraction in the back of his mind."

"Very secretly Sano kinda likes it [bedninjaing]. He likes being around Tomo. Likes their shoving matches, and the tickling, and all the stupid innocent and totally platonic rly things they do. And on some level the bed ninjaing is just an extension of that. He's fairly certain that Tomo views it in innocent terms, so he's not terribly concerned about it."
Then there was this thread with Anya, which gets mentioned during the next meme answer.

. . . Sano is aware of all this now, but he's still got the conflicting voices going 'dude it'd be awesome' 'it'll faaaaaiiiiiillll', so he's still hesitant to do anything at this point and will continue insisting it's platonic rly until something else comes along to jolt him into action."
And that was the last meme reply! What happened after that was basically the straw to the camel's back. Sano was fully aware of everything and just had a decision to make. That was it. And then this happened. And, basically, Sano just said to hell with any reservations he had about the relationship. He'd already admitted he'd be alright with it and, and it's clear she'd like it. It's not that he thought 'o i want somma that 8D' it's more that he realized it wasn't something he could ever ignore BECAUSE Tomo will always be doing things like that. Since he'd admitted things to himself he couldn't just go 'o Tomo :|' anymore because he can't see it in platonic terms anymore. And he didn't want to damage the relationship at all, so taking the step forward was the best option he could see. It makes them both happy even if he's not very sure it'll work out in the long run. They'll have fun, and if they lose out they can both move on. Ignoring it would've just been miserable.
