Drama Relay

Feb 06, 2009 15:34

Besides Gokusen 3, which I've recently posted with Miura Haruma XD, I've been watching quite a few others as well. I'm totally in LOVEEE with my haruma kun~~~ *floats* Hmm, think i'll prob try Akkun's drama next..?
Anyway. Time to give a review!

1. Sapuri

Familar faces: Ito Misaki (I always known her as the Shiseido poster gal) & Kamenashi Kazuya
Ratings: ★☆☆☆☆
Review: A very boring 2006 drama =.= What drew me to the show was Kame, at first. But by the 2nd/3rd episode, it was actually the "works" in the advertising industry that interests me more. Really, the storyline and cast was SO BORING, it took me monthsss to force myself to finish it. I dun like the love story between a workaholic 28 year old OL and a younger baito kun. I have nothing against 姐弟恋, but from the personalities being portrayed by the 2 actors, they are just totally incompatible lo. Even in real life, the 2 of them already look incompatible tgt =.= Character development and plot were poor. Fortunately, the last ad done by the company in the last ep was pretty good.. at least I din feel like I wasted time watching this drama lol.

Spoiler: This is hard to put in words, but i'll try my best haha. The last ad is very interestingly done - in my opinion. It's an ad for a watch company. Tagline was WATCHing you. Linking the watch to human touch, humans were used as the "hands" of the clock face. For eg, a scene of a couple lying on a grass field, den a big circle with markings (like a clock face) is drawn, so it looks like 730 on a clock face. Interesting idea right!??!? If u got the idea....

2. Kimi wa Hannin ja nai yo ne
Familiar face: None. Haha, but now I know who's Kaname Jun! =p
Ratings: ★★★☆☆
Review: Not a must-watch, but it's bearable if u like detective stories. There's no suspense in this show, cos the murderers are revealed (in a very stupid manner) at the start of all cases. Kaname Jun plays a detective who falls in love with all the murderers when he goes inspecting at crime scenes =.=

3. Seito Shokun

Familiar face: Horikita Maki
Ratings: ★★★☆☆
Review: Yet another problematic 校园story with a 热血老师 trying her bestest to save the world students. More realistic and less exaggerative compared to Gokusen.. Pretty touching and heart warming at times too. But my fav 校园stories still go to GTO and Dragon Zakura~ :))

4. Bloody Monday

Familiar face: Miura Haruma
Ratings: ★★★★★
Review: THIS SHOW IS DAMN BLOODY GOOD! U have a uber cute guy (Miura Haruma XDDDD), a quite cute guy (Sato Takeru), a not cute but somehow-goodlooking-in-his-commander-role Kirishima, very good suspense and a thrilling plot full of twists and turns. Awesome. I was really glued to it, and I can't stop myself cos the suspense was killing me!! LOL. I think u'll like this if u've liked Deathnote. Generally, the idea is pretty similar. Bloody Monday is about a genius hacker (Miura) vs a terrorist group led by J and K. There were times when pple i thought who can be trusted turn out to be spies, and suspicious characters are actually the good ones. It's pretty clever how the drama links different events tgt, giving the appropriate amount of suspense and developing the plot smoothly at the same time. I also like the way they used CGs of birds flying to "explain" how the hacking works. However, the ending can be improved. Anyhow.. MUST WATCH K!

Spoiler: The identity of K really surprised me coz the person only appeared like in ep 1?! I mean, he/she appeared a bit in other eps too.... but more of a calefare lo =.= But, it's a good surprise.

Ok I shall end this long post with a cute grinny Haruma I wanted to show earlier!
