More SODA in the news

From today's edition of the Portland Tribune:

A few months after opening in the old Rabbit Hole space, Noir is still finding its niche. Soda, a monthly dance night curated by Portland DJ and gadfly Corban Lester, is a step in the right direction. This month, Lester expands beyond the city limits and imports San Francisco’s Audioelectronic and Seattle’s DJ Justin Byrnes. Audioelectronic features robotic vocals, guitar and acid beats; its sound is an homage to the classic sounds of the Chicago and Detroit rave undergrounds. Byrnes is a veteran of several laptop battles and uses his trusty iMac to produce deep, bass-centric jams. Make sure to arrive early and catch the local “techno cabaret” the Cancer Fags, featuring the inimitable Julian Tulips.

--- So, um, I'm a gadfly? ha ha

PS: I hung out with the SF guys last night--really, really cool fellows. I'm so looking forward to soda tonight--I can hardly stand it.
