Jinx smiled this time, actually happy for the time being. Somehow, some way, she felt like she had been here before. She felt like they were old friends and she was coming over for a weekly poker game. Normally, in front of new company, she put a barrier between herself and the other person, acting almost hostile, trying to show that she could kill him in a matter of seconds. Yet right now... it was nice to be here and now, and be herself. Not too much herself, though. She needed to make a good impression for Jushirou's sake.

Sitting down, she looked over the things he had prepared. Tea would be good later, but for now she removed her gloves, opened up the vodka and poured herself a shot into a teacup. Throwing her head back and taking it down, she smiled as it burned her throat a bit. Setting the teacup back on the table, she took a pastry and watched him shuffle. "Well, being the rank you are in the AMC, you probably know a good deal about me just by my name." She took a bite of the pastry and noted, "This is really good!"

Crossing her legs into one another while she sat in the chair, her body small enough to where she could do many things like that in the average chair. And bringing her non pastry holding hand across the table, she finally introduced herself, "I'm Jinx. And I know who you are very well."

"Do I?" he laughed, pouring himself a shot. He took down the bitter liquid with no expression on his face, quickly followed by another.

"Nothing like a little wetting to take the edge off, right?" he smiled, shuffling the cards once more and dealing them out, "Let's just try to have fun with it."

He shook hands with her, giving a slight nod.

"It's a pleasure. I'm glad to be here. I want you all to know that I'm always accessible and there never need be any walls between you all, and myself."

When he took two shots so quickly, when he talked about taking the edge off, she became more than a little discouraged to say the least. Given his rank, he had probably seen more than one occasion of her handiwork, the slaughters she had in her recent past, the naked men chopped apart into many pieces on the floors of their flats. That was a rift that was always going to be between her and her "family," the rift of her being a murder and them being ex police officers. After Bradley shook her hand, she drew back in her confidence and poured the teacup full of vodka, taking a large gulp.

With a blank expression, she picked up her cards and fanned them out before her. Being casual about the game, not caring about a dealer, she discarded two on the table and drew two others from the deck. "Is it weird feeling? Playing poker with an assassin?" she asked him, that small grin of hers coming back. "Let's see, what are we playing for? For money, for fun, to get wasted or to get naked? I'm up for anything."

"For fun is fine, for right now. We'll see how you do," he said, checking his cards and discarding three, "Should I feel weird? I've seen a lot in my day, young lady. I think you'd be surprised."

He rechecked his cards, then picked up a small scone, taking a bite.

"Would you like to see an interesting trick?"

Jinx rearranged her cards, a blank expression across her face. Then she fanned them back into on stack in her hands, running her long nails over the backs of the cards. "See how I do, Bradly? Do you often underestimate teenage girls?" And she finally shot him another smile. "I don't get surprised too often, old man," she retorted jokingly. "I was just wondering since I seem to be a new hot commodity in this town. Monacello thinks I'm dead, most of the AMC doesn't know I'm working for them now, save you and Jushirou. And I don't even want to think about her personal life." She really did not in a lot of aspects.

Looking him up and down, she finished her pastry, took a long drink of her teacup full of vodka, then nodded. "It all depends on what kind of interesting it is. I'm fine with anything, really. But you've got me intrigued. So I say yes."

"All right then," he smiled, putting on a friendly face, "I want you to try and kill me. Right here, right now, in one swift blow. I'm completely open and unarmed. There are no witnesses, no one to say you were ever here. I even erased our earlier conversation."

The smile got wider.

"So try to kill me."

Jinx was expecting a card trick, she honestly was. Or maybe he was going to lay down a full house, four aces... anything but what he asked her to do. Setting down her cards, she came to her feet and cocked her head at him. Shrugging, she took off her leather jacket and pulled her pistol out of the back of her shorts. With one swift motion, she jumped on top of the table, slunk across it and sat on her knees in front of him. Smiling, quite intrigued by this game now, she gently placed her hand beneath his chin, her callused palm caressing his skin. Slowly, she brought her knees out from under her and let her slender legs fall to either side of him.

Taking the hand off his chin, she moved her arm around his shoulder, placing her palm on his back, caressing that now. It was very nice to be close to another man, to take in a different scent, feel a different sort of heat. Grinning, closing her eyes, she moved forward and pressed her cheek to his. With her right hand, she finally moved her gun up. Quickly, her fingers moved over the gun and undid a few things, and with a flick of her wrist, she made the cartridge fall to the ground. After it hit the floor, she dropped the unloaded gun and wrapped her other arm around his shoulders, pushing her hips forward off the table to let herself gracefully straddle him where he sat. And with her thick Italian, she whispered, almost purred into his ear, "What kind of operative would I be if I killed my superiors? And you should learn something, Captain. I never kill those who ask to be slaughtered. I don't show that kind of mercy."

By the time she slid over, he had already calculated that she wouldn't make a move. The nano-relays in his body entered back into a relaxed state. He supposed maybe he had pushed too hard, too soon. Still, it was nice to get a close approximation of her ability, even if she wasn't serious.

"...Ha ha ha ha! Maybe I was expecting a bit much," he smiled, looking up down at her, "Though I believe my wife would have something to say about your assassination techniques, God rest her soul."

With deceptive strength for a man of such an aged frame, he easily lifted her off his lap, jumped up onto the table, neatly deposited her back in her seat, then flipped back into his own chair. It all took place within a few short seconds.

"Don't count us old dogs completely out of the game, though!" he chuckled, retaking his card, "My fangs aren't blunt quite yet. I knew from your body language that you weren't going to fire."

When he began to laugh, so did she, completely breaking her seductive mood. But when he mentioned his wife, she stopped her laughter and merely smiled up and him. Yet suddenly, before she knew it, things were happening that she did not have control over. Her catlike eyes grew wide and she dug her long nails into his shoulders when he moved her so quickly. When he set her back down in her seat, her muscles were still tensed and she almost glared at him. Jinx was small enough to be moved around like a rag doll at the whim of most, but that did not mean she enjoyed in entirely. But watching him flip back to his seat, her jaw literally dropped, but not completely agape.

"First off, that wasn't exactly my entire assassination technique, it's just the fun one. I like watching old men squirm. Secondly," she said, fanning laying her cards down on the table, "I only managed to get a pair of twos." Her eyes began to glow a brilliant pink and she snapped her fingers. In that moment, with the same bright light, the remaining deck of cards in the middle of the table moved around from its perfect pile and scattered about the surface, flipping over, swirling in a very erratic tornado. Four cards shot out of the chaotic deck toward her, and once she caught them, they all fell motionless back to the table. When her eyes returned to their normal state, she fanned out the cards on the table and flashed him a grin. All four Aces.

"My body language told you that I wasn't going to shoot, and that's because I don't need to. I also do enjoy cutting people up much more." It was not at all normal for her to show off her abilities like this, especially not to people who were going to live, but she felt as if her pride had been more than a bit damaged from not getting a single surge of heat from him. "Now why did you ask me to kill you? Trust exercise? I'm ex mafia. We don't do well with those."

"Merely to show you were in good company. I'm not exactly a normal person, myself. You needn't worry, dear."

He looked at the cards and blinked.

"Hm...Well, that's unique. Very interesting. You must be great at casinos."

"Well, I can't help but be a bit hostile with a man who just asked me to kill him, now can I?" Jinx stood and gathered the cards that had blown around the table. Boldly, she snatched his hand from him before he could even try to beat her pair of twos. And upon sitting back down, she shuffled the cards quickly and gracefully. After dealing them out, she looked at her hand. When others would deal, the luck of the game was at average, as it was for everyone. Yet when she dealt, her bad luck reversed for herself, giving her excellent hands and giving the other person terrible ones. It was not fair, but it was how she won. She also had a good poker face.

"Casinos..." she scoffed, rearranging her cards. "It's much more than just card tricks. I could snap your neck from across the table because you just happened to be unlucky enough to shift your head the wrong way." She downed the rest of her vodka, then decided to go to the tea for now. "Your wife... what was she like?"

He laughed cheerfully at her comment, the poured a glass of hot tea for himself. He slowly poured in a few spoonfuls of sugar and added a bit of honey.

"Oh? That is quite the trick. But were we enemies, I'd probably kill you the moment you started to activate it. This eye sees more than just the normal spectrum. You'd be surprised at the tells most people have, whether in cards, or with abilities. I see every tick, every bead of persperation, every muscle twitch. There is nothing that escapes my vision."

Jinx was not pleased, and it was obvious. She was not the kind of woman to be made a fool of. But now it was becoming more and more obvious why, exactly, this man held such a high rank in the AMC. This was why he was the Captain Bradley. Hot tea, black. Jinx was never one for things that were too sweet.

This man was more than just a little frustration. As she looked him over, her eyebrow twitched. Although she hated to be underestimated, which most people did to her because oh her age and size, she was constantly doing the same to others. "That's only a small portion of what I can do," she grinned, looking him up and down, observing him. "But it looks like I could spend hours throwing knives at you just for fun. I've killed a man like you before, but he was not full of nearly as much gusto." Nonchalantly, she laid down a full house, then took another drink of her tea. "Assassins only carry hundred dollar bills. Let's play for clothes."

He laughed loudly at the hand she laid down and revealed his own. Only two pairs.

"Oh no!" he exclaimed, truly hamming it up, "I can't believe that I lost! I suppose my mind really is starting to go."

He removed his vest and placed it beside him.

"Very well, if that is what you wish..."

If the woman thought she could play games, then he would go along with it. It was more fun than he had been involved with for awhile, anyway.

"You're really not old at all," she told him, throwing her cards down on top of the deck and pushing them toward him to shuffle. "You're only as old and you make yourself out to be. And you're still pretty goddamn spry." She grinned, playing with her scarf, getting ready to remove it after he dealt. "You're probably about as old as my boyfriend."

She took another long sip of tea and grinned. At this rate, they wold both loose an equal amount of clothing. She had the power of luck both on her side and against her, and when she was dealing, it was nearly completely against him. This would turn out to be amusing. "This tea is missing something," she said as she reached for the bottle of vodka and poured a shot into her cup. A comfortable haze was starting to form over her mind.

He supposed it would be interesting to see how things would turn out. She could try and alter things as much as she wished, while he would always be ahead of her moves. It was going to be rather fun.

"So how exactly did you come into your line of work?" he asked, tossing out a few cards and replacing them.
