Axel had said the usual, like it was normal for a guy to be bleeding all over someone else's bathroom floor from a fucked up shoulder. Not that anything had been going the way it was supposed to lately-- hello, life said, here, have another fucking surprise thrown in your fucking face-- and this wasn't the most traumatizing of what had happened. And at least the bathroom floor was tile.
Reno had paused to snag a cigarette and the first-aid kit from the kitchen, then made a beeline for the bathroom. Peanut was outside-- less a puppy than he had been a month ago, but still managing to make a rather heart-squeezing puppy face-- pawing at the door with a light whine. With his foot, Reno managed to nudge his dog out of the way, opening the bathroom door and kicking it shut behind him.
He lit his cigarette and took a deep inhale, mako-eyes betraying a faint concern masquerading convincingly as irritation. "Move your hands out of the damn way. C'mon, let's see it."
