Secretly, Elena wondered at his reaction too. If she got anything at all out of him...well, that was a victory.

"Sweats?" Elena blinked at the reminder before laughing a bit. "I can get those any time." Somehow buying high heels and clothes that she got tossed around in didn't match up. Most of her days were of the latter. As for the former...dresses and make-up. Who knows?

Elena nodded to show that she was ready and lifted her own brows at the mention of Tseng. "I'm sure he'll...get over it. He usually does." Though she wouldn't dare cross him seriously, Tseng could be surprisingly patient with the little things lately. Her eyes widen at the mention of the boys seeing her though. Any but Rude, that is. "Oh, I don't know about that. Reno never misses a chance to be a smartass, even with me." She doesn't even want to imagine what the redhead would say if he saw her wearing mascara and lip-gloss.

"Hey." Her eyes lowered before she offered a sheepish shrug of her shoulders. "Thanks. I don't think I would've done any of this without yoru help." She knows she wouldn't.

Lulu nodded then. Even if it might have been more efficient to get it all in one trip, it would be rather anticlimactic shopping for gym clothes after this, and this time had been just for fun.

"Don't mention it," she said, smiling. "It's the least I can do." After nearly becoming a bone of contention between the Turks, she was just glad if she could actually count them among her friends.

"Speaking of Tseng," she asked as they headed to the checkout counter, "Just out of curiosity--did you ever get to pull that prank you were planning with the diamond?"

Elena gathered up all her things, dumping them a bit unceremoniously onto the checkout counter. Hopefully the dress wouldn't wrinkle too badly.

"Huh? Oh. No." She smiled faintly to Lulu. "Something came up and then I figured I'd give him one more change..." One more chance to keep that horrible sense of humor to himself. "If it blows it though, I'm ready." The blonde smirked to herself. "After tonight, it would actually work out even better." Seh's tempted to go through with it anyway, her boss on his best behaviour or not.

Lulu laughed, thinking about Tseng's last joke and how funny it wasn't--though it was amusing to watch him and Reno going back and forth when they forgot they were talking dirty to each other in a public forum.

She laughed because Tseng had caught her in her quasi-voyeurism and informed her that they were basically giving each other crap that she should demand something more sincere. After that he'd been quiet except for his bout of superstition--which did seem to be more genuine--and of course his prescription drug-induced...whatever that had been.

"Well, if it happens, I want to see pictures of his face," she said as their respective purchases were rung up and neatly bagged for them. "Thanks for braving the mall with me," she added, "It's been fun. Was there anything else you had questions about? If you have time, we can talk more over lunch, my treat. Otherwise..."

She shrugged. It was so rare that she got to spend time with other women, under non-competitive circumstances, that she was almost reluctant for their visit to end...but she knew Elena had a busy evening ahead.
