The placed wasn't his usual cup of tea, but it was the furthest place of stay he could find from the department. It kept him away from the nagging masses, of the anxiety of his decision. Two days; he had promised the force two days and then, he'd probably go under the knife for the first and last time. It weighed heavy on the lieutenant for reasons that he couldn't explain, so he made sure he filed them away and buried them. There would be no use worrying himself too much over this whole thing anyway.

Smoker grunted and removed two fresh cigars from the arm band on his left arm. The stubs that had nearly ashed in his mouth were spat to the ground and splintered under one of the commander's clunky heels. Like clockwork, however, the buds were replaced without thought and without care, lit, and sucked on roughly as Lieutenant Smoker complicated the entrance.

Devil's Nest was such a foreboding name, but it made the old Russian crack a venomous smile. This Greed fellow had to have some sort of love for all of that bible stuff, what with ( ... )

Greed perked up and smiled, seeing the man. He lifted his hands and bowed his head in greeting as he walked around the bar. On the bar's counter was a small bowl with six keys in it. He snatched a key which had a tag with a '1' on it. Room number one. Just as he said. He smiled widely and held the key firmly in his hand and stared at his customer. He was different than he expected. But he did indeed fill the description of a Lieutenant. Greed didn't falter around authority. He treated everyone the same... pretty much ( ... )

Smoker chomped silently at the ends of his cigars, his eyes still slitted at the company that kept the establishment warm. There were people from all pits of the city, but he wasn't feeling up to a hunt at the moment. After all, he was on two days leave. The high-ups would only bark and scream at him for doing anything other than what was required during this time anyway. So, Smoker just shrugged his shoulders in his quiet muse and turned his neck from side to side, snapping the kinks out of it ( ... )

Greed watched as he walked inside the suite. He quirked a brow at his suggestion. He was right. The plants would choke in the smoke this guy was dishing out. He'd take them out soon enough. For now it was time to see how his customer liked the interior of the room. The bar owner observed how Smoker admired the smokes.

He stood to attention at his requests and nodded his head curtly. "Yes, I'll make sure that the paper boy will be on time tomorrow morning," He leaned his shoulder against the door frame and stared at his fingernails, his fingers curled inward towards his palm. Idly his thumbnail cleaned out the dirt from under his other nails as he glanced over the rim of his glasses again at the man.

"Now, since you're staying here for the next two days, and you are my first customer, you'll get a discount. Two hundred dollars all together, for both days. Food and other items are unlimited. Eat and drink to your heart's desire. Payment in cash is preferable. Checks are fine as well ( ... )

Moving in curious as to the advertisement, Reborn was always looking for a place to be by himself and where he could have a good drink or two. It wasn't that the man had no friends, or didn't want to bring a date, he just didn't choose to. There were certain things that he would rather do that would keep him the same reserved man he always was. That meant that he had to have a place to go to be by himself, even if that place was filled with people.

"Guess I'm the first one..." He sighed and coughed a little as he sighed and then tipped his fedora a little more down. He had opted to leave Leon at home even, knowing that his repitilian partner was probably happier at home rather than in a dark place where there was only people to be annoyed by.

Despite Greed's concerns, Envy was interested in mingling rather than murdering-- and although blood was never far from his mind, the issue of Gin leaving town and the incompetence of the spy he'd left behind gave Envy reason enough to play nice while there was information to catch. As much as he wanted to dive in claws first for the Elric brothers, he understood that he was strong, but not invincible-- and most of all, not stupidHe wore a body that was, for the most part, ordinary. It was the one he wore most often when he wanted to blend in at the Devil's Nest. Envy resembled Greed a little, with the same dark hair, though shaggy and longer, the same skin, and the same eyes. The only thing his shapeshifting couldn't ever hide was the hint of cruelty at the curve of his mouth, of the touch of jealousy in his half-lidded gaze ( ... )

The advertisement was what sealed the deal initially, although he knew of several other choice locations to spend the evening if he needed a break and a good drink. It had something to do with territory, probably, because Mello liked knowing where everything was. He liked knowing who frequented which places, liked knowing what sort of crowds a bar could draw. It gave him an advantage in the end; he was a social person with a tricky, crude job that reflected his personality in all the wrong ways. Making allies or clients of friends was half the battle. The other half was keeping the front, maintaining the face, and cleaning his hands of incriminating evidence when it was all said and done ( ... )

Zoro had been passing through the area, and truth be told, was lost walking the streets until he came across the sign labeled, Devil's Nest. He had to pause to wonder why exactly the name sounded so familiar until he remembered the advertisement he had seen. A bit relieved at finding a place he at least recognized, he paused to peer inside at read the prices of the drinks. Squinting past the reflection of streetlights glaring upon the window, he managed to read it. Not bad. And Zoro had never been one to turn down a drink, either ( ... )

And that was Greed's cue. Seeing the bright hair on the man's head caught his attention first. He walked behind the bar counter and quirked a brow at the guy. Tough. Hm. There seemed to be a lot of these guys in Reggio. He almost looked like a younger and tanner Smoker. But he shrugged that off and placed his own hands on his hips and smiled widely down at the young man and rubbed under his nose slightly.

"So, what'll it be, buddy? Beer, wine, what?"

Zoro glanced up at the barkeep, eying him suspiciously before shrugging off any thoughts he had harbored about this place. He seemed like a typical enough barkeep--looked like if he got into a tussle, he'd be able to hold his own; an essential skill in this city, especially in the bars. "Beer," he said shortly, drumming his fingers on the table.

He glanced over at the tap, hoping that some real good, dark beer would be served here, and not the piss-for-bubbles that some places seemed to be attempting to pass off as liquor.
