Franky had let his work as a capo back log on him. Today he just wasn't going to leave head quarters until it was all done. Besides, the water was gorgeous today and he was half in, half out so he could work on the beach. This meant he was in his favorite personal uniform.
That could be unfortunate for everyone else.
At the moment he was working on a laptop trying to track down a weapons shipment he was expecting.
Reborn was annoyed. He hated coming here to report, but once a month at least he had to be there for an hour. He had just finished with his meeting and progress reports on a few of the soldati that he was focusing on...Namely Syaoran and Tsuna.
He had fought for Tsuna to get a chance as something more than an errand boy and had stood up to his superiors and had gotten Tsuna accepted. Hopefully it would be a fruitful gamble...Syaoran was a whole different story...He had a headache and just wanted to go home.
Franky looked up as Reborn practically stalked by. "Hey Reborn" He called out with a wave. "Monthly report?" He asked, glancing back down at his screen, then up at Reborn again.
"Of course. I had to pull to get one of my students a chance to be more than an errand boy..." He told the other stopping as he watched Franky with a small smirk on his lips. "What are you up to..." He seemed so detached, but only because Franky was closer to Kristoph.
There was no loveloss between he and Kristoph and it would probably always be that way. "I need to go back and train with Tsunayoshi and Syaoran...." He trailed off rubbing at the back of his neck.
Dean never liked reporting. Never liked putting on his fancy suit, saddling up to the mansion, and having to give off a laundry list of shit he's been up to. He was never good at organizing anything more than his cassette tapes or wearing anything more than his leather jacket. This was more of Sammy's thing - delivering formal cases, getting people to listen, and believe him. However, he doubted the superiors would appreciate him bringing his brother in as the official representative of Dean Winchester. Not to mention Sammy wouldn't like it either.
Tense. Way too fucking tense.
Likewise, he got out of a meeting, but noticed his two lovely BFFz4eva on the beach having a small chat and Dean did say he was going to do some detective work on Reborn. Anything for his darling Krissy-poo.
Something wicked this way comes.
"Hey guys," he called, saddling up to the two other caporegimes chilling out on the sandy shores. "Having a beach party?"
Franky had perked up when Reborn mentioned the younger Vescovos. "Oh yeah! The new guy and Syaoran. How they doin? Syaoran feeling any better about being back home?" He asked before Dean walked over. Franky was glad reborn was taking care of the younger vescos, but he sure missed seeing them around.
Then his eye caught Dean coming up.
"Always a beach party! That's why we live in this damn city!" The cyborg grinned. "You here for report day too, Dean?"
Seeing the other perk up he raised an eyebrow, "Well...Syaoran is doing well. Tsuna...On the other hand. Is going to take some work. I have Tieria helping him get a G.E.D so that he has more credability to his name and maybe college..." Reborn looked a little wistful. "He can't handle a gun and honestly any other weapons I'm afraid he'd impale himself on...So I am going to be teaching him something more traditional
( ... )
"Unfortunately," came Dean's gruff reply. He stuffed his hands in his pockets, kicked at the hand beneath his boots. Fucking felt stuffy and hot and constricted in this damn get up.
He wondered briefly if the two other men would be offended if Dean just stripped down to nothing, and dove into the ocean.
Eh. Best not take the risk when he was already in enough trouble with the boss.
"Are we talkin' business again? How's that kid I sent you?"
"That'd be super, Reborn!" Franky interjected a quick reply. "I'll talk to you about it later" He said, not to be too rude to Dean. Franky tended to get things done despite seeming brisk, but he had some manners.
He ducked out of the conversation for a second to check his email again.
"The kid you sent? Suzaku, correct?" Reborn looked thoughtful. "Well he just disappeared one day. Don't know where he went to and I searched and asked questions, but as usual, I never get the answers that I want."
"Also this isn't business, it's more of an invitation." Reborn told Dean as he leaned back, "What have you been up to? I don't think I've heard anything from the neck of the woods from you all. I admit that it's partially my fault."
I don't like keeping in contact if I can't trust people...
