Who: Syaoran and Roxas, and whoever else What: Roxas wants to go see Tifa, Syaoran goes with him Where: Reborn's mansion, moving to the Seventh Heaven (maybe?) When: Night before the fashion party
Roxas had been bored for quite some time, though he'd been expanding his vocabulary with a selection of books that Reborn had seen fit to let him borrow. He still wanted to pay Tifa a visit, though, as he really hated worrying her.
He knocked gently on Syaoran's door, fidgeting in his ragged clothes. He still needed to go shopping for new ones, but he wasn't about to pester Reborn like that. "...Syaoran, are you in there?"
That was something he'd decide on after talking to her, though.
Syaoran gave a little start at the knock. "Yeah, what do you need?" He despised feeling like Roxas' servant, and how ungrateful the boy had been about it so far.
Roxas was nearly Syaoran's own age...how could the kid be so...immature?
Roxas frowned slightly at the tone in Syaoran's voice, but he certainly wasn't going to comment on it. The other teen always sounded uncaring, as far as he knew.
"I was wondering if I could go pay Tifa a visit, just so she stops worrying about me."
"Where does she live?" As long as Syaoran could safely accompany him, it would be just fine. Roxas seemed happy enough to be living here, and if he were to run...well, that would just make Syaoran's life easier.
"Above Seventh Heaven, I think. She owns the bar, so..." Roxas shuffled his feet awkwardly. He was getting along with everyone else just fine... But for whatever reason, Syaoran didn't seem to want him around.
The Seventh Heaven...that was where Syaoran had told Lucrecia he was going to meet her.
He forced himself to soften his expression. This wasn't going to be a pleasant walk if the two of them wouldn't even speak to each other normally, much less started getting along. His tone was softer, too. "When did you want to leave?"
Syaoran closed his eye for a moment, trying to decide on whether it was a good idea to leave Roxas by himself with Tifa while he spoke with that woman.
"We'll try to be there around six tonight. If you have everything together, we should be able to walk there now."
"Uh... yeah, okay." Roxas nodded and stepped away from Syaoran's door slightly. The only things he owned were still just the clothes on his back and his phone.
Syaoran closed the lid on his laptop and grabbed a pen and some paper. He scribbled out a note to Reborn that he and Roxas were leaving for a short while, and that under no circumstances would Roxas be allowed to leave Syaoran's sight.
He walked past Roxas on the way out of his room, and shut the door behind him. "Let's go," he said, failing in his attempt to sound a little cheerful. It was hard, thinking about what Lucrecia might have to say to him.
Roxas waited for Syaoran in the hallway, but he soon fell into step just behind the other teen as they started on their way out of the mansion. He wanted to say something... but what? Nothing seemed like very much of a safe topic.
Asking about what had happened to Syaoran's eye was most certainly not safe.
"What is Tifa like?" The question came right as they walked out the main entrance to the mansion. For once, Syaoran sounded curious while around Roxas, instead of professional.
"I'm glad Reborn gave you a place to stay..." Syaoran's voice trailed off as he looked forward. The bar was in the distance, but he didn't see Lucrecia.
"If she's here...there's someone I was going to meet with, too. We'll talk to Tifa first, no matter what."

It was almost a question. Syaoran wasn't going to mention Lucrecia at all unless she happened to be there.
