Suzaku found his hands wishing they had something to do that wasn’t cling together and twiddle his thumbs. He tried to keep them at his sides by taking hold of the chair seat, instead, but realized belatedly that the best option would have been keeping a cookie or two to hold. Hindsight; it was beautiful.

It didn’t help that he had little to nothing to contribute to the conversation at hand except possibly a comment about how cute Roxas looked mummified by blankets. But that was hardly appropriate, really, though maybe Reborn might appreciate the mental image if offered during what wasn’t an important meeting. Tieria sure wouldn’t.

Suzaku perked at the mention of AMC and Monacello. It was nice to know the good-guys-by-name weren’t behind such a rotten thing, but the fact that the Monacello’s involvement was yet unknown found a nice warm place to settle in his mind and fester. Perhaps he would ask Lelouch the next time they spoke and ease his mind that his best friend wasn’t involved in it, either?

And then a thought occurred to him, “Reborn, Sir, when do you think would be a good time to take Roxas out to meet... Tifa? What day seems best, to you?”
