WHAT: Now in present day, Gin visits his favorite mechanic to buy Rhode a present.
WHERE: Spanner's workshop
WHEN: A Thursday evening, following the bonfire and clothes shopping.
"Ara, Rhode-kun?" Gin looked over his shoulder towards the young girl who was supposed to be following him. It was early evening, and the weather was exceptionally crisp for that time of year, and despite Rhode's intial reluctance to walk, Gin had managed to convince her it was the best way to get to Spanner. He paused and waited for her to catch up before continuing, clicking his tongue in mild impatience. Spanner's shop wasn't in the nicest part of town, so there wasn't much along the way to look at; yet somehow Rhode managed to still lag behind, peering into windows and in cars and around corners. He raised an eyebrow at her as she strode up to him, a small hop in her step. "Now you promise what you said before, naa? Not to touch any of his things? Spanner-kun is very important to our family, and we wouldn't want him to get angry at us, naa? He's very particular."
Gin waggled a finger before holding out a large paper bag to Rhode. inside was his bounty for the young mechanic, now a time-honored tradition for whenever Gin paid a visit. "Hold this," Gin said. "And don't drop it, naa? Otherwise Spanner may not like you so well."
