Jared took the bag of chips appreciatively and took a handful out, stuffing it all in his mouth as he shifted in his seat. His dark eyes focused up on the window, shifting to the night sky here or there. Jared was glad that he was getting a bit more respect from Elena, but it was probably only due to the fact they were on a mission together.

As crumbs tumbled down his shirt, pants, and onto the floor of the car, the rookie smile widely, licking the crumbs off his teeth and lips. Placing the bag on his lap, he leaned his head back against his head rest and folded his hands behind his cranium neatly. "Yeah yeah. I've had blood on my hands a few times." But he took note of what she said if they failed their mission and snorted, looking back at her with a scowl. "Hey. We're in this together, yeah? We'll both get the blame no matter what. I don't give a damn if I get in trouble or not. More training and lesson-learning for me."

He gave a small chuckle at that. Jared handed back the chips to her and flicked a few pieces of the food off his white shirt. "I just say we get in there and knock some sense into him, and make him tell us what the fuck he's up to."

Yazoo pressed his back against the wall beside the window and took a long drink. Even Italian water was inferior to Russian water. That may be because Russian water is vodka. He removed the wedge of lemon from the rim and bit down into it. The sourness had no effect on the silver haired man. Even the rind was devoured.

"Hmm~" The purr was fitting of a man with almost feline grace. What should he do with these children? What did he want to do?

What he always wanted to do. And that was show them who was the superior one here.

The ice settled in the glass as Yazoo set it down while on his way to the door. It was such a nice night. Perhaps he should go for a drive. He avoided the chance that he be stuck in the elevator with someone less than desirable and took the stairwell instead. Yazoo stepped out of the apartment building and with a flip of his hair over his shoulder walked towards his sleek black Ducati. At least the blasted Italians had gotten something right.

Elena arched a brow at all the falling crumbs. And then it occurred to her... She didn't have to be the one to clean the car out this time. She could just order him to do it! Well, that changes everything. "Hand me my soda, would ya?" And pay no mind to the devious look on her face.

"The problem was that half the city knew about it 'cop killer'." There's just some things that Elena isn't likely to let him forget about. That was one of them. "If we have to get rid of this guy, no one else can know." She's talking about keeping secrets? There's a twist.

"Sure, you talk big now. But you've never seen Tseng really pissed off." Elena mumbled before taking a drink of her soda. Come to think of it, she never has either. But that may change when he finds out about this. Still, it'll be worth it. Protect their own and worry about the consequences later.

His words did earn a little admiration though. And even more when he was all gung-ho to bust in on this guy. Elena might've been swayed if Yazoo hadn't chosen that moment to make his appearance. She rolled her eyes at the hairflip before reaching for the key in the bugatti's ignition. "Looks like he's on the move." There was the briefest of hesitations when he stepped up to the ducati though.

"Does everyone in this goddamn city have a bike?" She groaned before turning the key. "I'm gonna use my next paycheck to put a down payment on one, wait and see."

Jared flinched at the cop killer jab and glared back at her. If only she knew the details. To this day, he didn't tell anyone about it, except the cops, but obviously they hadn't made it public. But thanks to that hacker, well now questions started to pop up all over again.

Jared's eyes darted over to the silver haired man approach his bike. He made his mouth into an 'o' shape, but didn't whistle. He was impressed by the transportation vehicle. He liked bikes, but he wouldn't want one himself. They were like screaming death traps if anything. He's feel safer crashing in a car than on a bike.

The rookie adjusted himself in his car seat and watched his superior turn the key. "Let's see if we do get a next pay check for this. If we do, then you can look in the newspaper and magazines for one."

His hand was perched right at his hip,his gun nestled neatly in its holster. The man's fingertips danced right on the handle. Anything could happen on this mission... steak out. Whatever.

Yazoo straddled the bike and turned the key. There were no signs of a helmet. He never wore one. And without so much as a glance in any direction he pulled out of the parking spot and started to race down the street. No one else would hear his laugh but the sound it graced the only ears that really counted--his own. The sound was thick and smooth like honey.

Oh these children. They followed him to his own destination and at his own speed. Yazoo knew the Bugatti would have no problems keeping up though as he steadily increased his speed. He weaved around other vehicles on the bike whether they were stopped for something as foolish as a sign or red light or simply too slow for his tastes.

How far would they really chase him? They had already reached a place where the streetlights were fewer. Other traffic and witnesses were practically nonexistant. The hum of the bike was the only sound in his ears and he'd almost pushed it to top speed. Yazoo took a very sudden right turn down a narrow alley. Their game of chase had been amusing enough but he bored quickly. Yazoo spun the bike around to face the mouth of the alley and quickly turned his lights off.

"After this I might even get a promotion." Well, probably not. She can dream though. Elena pulled out after the bike, and was pretty happy with the immediate acceleration. She'd never really pushed her boss's car to the limit. This might just give her a reason to. Out of the corner of her eye she could see Jared toying with one of his weapons and a slow smile spread across her lips. "Hey. Is that a gun in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?" What? Tseng would think it was funny!

Before long she wasn't saying anything at all though. Elena gripped the wheel tightly, trying to keep up with the more maneuverable ducati. The dark color of it and Yazoo's clothing made both bike and rider blend into the darkness. It was only the taillights that gave her any chance at all of staying on him. But that was before Yazoo's sharp turn.

"Shit!" The blonde Turk cursed as she slammed on the brakes and turned the steering wheel sharply to the right. It was too late to make the turn though, and the bugatti spun around in a complete circle before coming to a stop. Elena sighed as she glanced over at Jared. "See? You don't need a driver's license to know how to drive." At least she didn't wreck them into a pole or anything.

She drove back to the mouth of the alley, not seeing any signs of the bike. And it was probably too narrow for the car to go down anyway. The last thing she wanted to do was scratch Tseng's expensive ride. "I think he got away." Elena frowned with the words. "And he obviously knew we were following him. Great. Now what do we do?" She sighed and rested her head back against her seat.

Jared frowned at her gun innuendo and rolled his eyes. Very funny. It seemed as though everyone in this little group had some kind of sick joke up their sleeve. The rookie stared at the tail lights almost boredly until she make that sharp turn of hers.

It was almost like that one cartoon. The one with the small yappy dog and the cat who got the shit scared out of him when he was scared by the damn mutt. The hair on the back of Jared's neck bristled almost like that cat's fur in the cartoons. His hands gripped at the door handle and the desk, his nails feeling as though they could pierce the material they barely clung to. His eyes were wide and his heart was racing.

Fucking hell.

Once the ordeal was over with, Jared panted, having held in his breath from the whole screeching and spinning fiasco. With a quick shake of his head to calm himself, he ran his hand down the front of his shirt to flatten the creases in it, and to regain his composure. He was alive. He was cool. Everything was just fine. Except for the fact that their target was gone.

The rookie snorted and looked down the dark alley way, feeling his lip twitch. "Tch. He's not the type of guy to run away from a challenge, is he?" That was when Jared pulled his guns out to double check that they were fully loaded.

Yazoo leaned forward against the handlebars of his Ducati as he waited in the dark alley. Soon enough they would reappear. But how fortunate that Elena didn't crash such a nice expensive car. He watched them pull up to the entranceway and played a game of 'what could they be talking about'? with himself. It soon grew boring.

He didn't turn the bike's lights back on right away. He raced down the alley and turned them on blindingly bright when he was only a few feet away from them. Yazoo jumped the motorcycle right onto the Bugatti's hood. The windshield cracked and shattered under the weight of the machine and he could feel the metal of the roof buckle beneath his wheels as he passed over. They just don't make them like they used to~

Yazoo flew off the back of the car and put the brakes on as soon as he touched down again. The Ducati's tires squealed and left several feet of black painted on the road. The silver haired man couldn't keep himself from chuckling. What a surprise that must've been. And he wasn't finished yet. He flipped his hair back over his shoulder before drawing Velvet Nightmare from it's holser. And turning back towards the damaged car he fired one shot after another. The back windshield shattered. Tail lights were shot out. Both back tires practically exploded. It was Yazoo's fourth of July.

The tail light of his Ducati glowed red again before he raced away. But not before his laughter grew more audible for their sakes. Children these days.

She frowned gently at Jared's words and drummed her fingers thoughtfully against the steering wheel. "I hate to admit it, but you're probably right." But before she could say or even think anything else, Elena was suddenly blinded by a too bright and too close light.

"Fuck!" She reached over to try and grab Jared by the shoulder and press him down against the seat before leaning over him herself. Elena winced at the sound of the cracking windshield and waited for the shards of glass to rain down over them. And then the sounds of her boss's car being scratched and dented was above them. The weight of the bike wouldn't cave the roof in completely...would it?

Elena's own gun found it's way to her hand, but they were already pinned down. She hissed sharply as the bullet that shattered the back window continued on to rip through her headrest. They had to do something. She leaned away from Jared and reached for her door handle, hoping to make it behind it for cover before the next bullet found her. But by then their prey was racing away, both bike and bastard unscathed.

She took a couple of quick breaths while her pounding heart gradually slowed down. But it damn-near stopped when she took a look at the bugatti.

"Oh my god!" Elena's cry echoed off the buildings. Busted front and back windows...a dented roof...blown-out tires. Not to mention the bullet holes. All she could do was fall to her knees right where she stood. "Oh my god..." All other words seemed to fail her. At least until her next thought found it's way to her lips. "I'm gonna have to leave the country!" Tseng will kill her! She groaned heavily before crumbling forward, pressing her forehead against the asphalt.

Jared ;et out his own string of cuss words as the chaos rained over them. Shattered glass, Elena leaning over him for protection. Jared was surprised by it all together. The soon to be turk could feel the glass rain down them and when Elena slipped away, Jared took that moment to ram his own door open, seeing how bent it was from the impact already. He was almost afraid it was gonna be jammed. He pushed all of his weight into the door, and only found that the door fell to the ground with a clatter and even more shattering.

Time to worry about that later. Gunshots were whirring over head. Jared already had his guns out, pointed towards he direction their target had disappeared in. He cursed again under his breath before he noted Elena's cries. Geez. He rolled his eyes. Worrying about the car could come later. It was then when Jared could feel the sting of a few scratches on his face from the glass. With his injuries in check, and his health good he slipped to the other side of the car and kneeled next to Elena, shaking her slightly.

"HEY stop worrying about the fucking car! Are you alright?!" He kept his guns in his hand though, glancing up into the darkness then back down at her. Cat and mouse. That's what this was now. Only in the dark.
