By 5 til 7, Cesare was sitting at a private table in Guilty Pleasures, sipping at a glass of red wine. Though the table was hidden from the rest of the room by a heavy curtain, Cesare could see the end of the bar, and behind it one of the owners: Kisten Felps. The man had been instrumental in the planning of this occasion. The restaurant wouldn't open until Cesare's business was concluded, giving them the privacy he required.
Glancing at his watch, he saw there was still 4 minutes and 16... 15... 14 seconds until 7pm. Until the guest of honor was slated to arrive. Cesare could feel the cell phone in his pocket. A simple push of a button and the waiting soldiers he'd brought with him would be called in.
And then he would complete his bargain with Hijikata.
