WHO: Jared
gunningwolf and Elena
suits_meWHAT: A honest talk between rookie and former rookie.
WHERE: Turk HQ Warehouse
WHEN: late night, Day 135
He didn't have the option of turning her down. For Elena, that was something of a novelty. She'd been the rookie for so long, expected to answer to every Turk above her. Which...at the time, meant every Turk. But with the rush of new recruits, fresh blood, came change.
And like the former baby of a family now joined by a new brother or sister, Elena was undecided if she liked it or not. She was happy they were successful, and it was nice to give orders that couldn't be denied, at least while they were still in the training phase. And she didn't even have any problems with most of the new rookies.
Just him.
She couldn't say that she disliked many people. They usually fell into one of two groups for Elena: those she cared about, and those she couldn't care less about. But she'd disliked Jared from the get-go. Her reasons for it were strictly personal. He used two guns. And because of those two guns, one more than Elena was able to use at a time, she couldn't stop herself from viewing him as a threat. An outsider who'd loped in and could harbor thoughts of replacing her and moving his way up in the pack.
"Try it." She murmured while giving the barrel of the revolver another spin. It wasn't a practical weapon for their kind of job, but Elena had a few for collection purposes. She was really just killing time until Jared arrived at the warehouse. Everyone else had long since gone home. But he'd be showing up soon. She'd told him to.
