WHO: Elle Bishop [
scossaelettrica] & Edward Cullen [
premuroso]
WHAT: I believe this is what normal people call "a date." :||||
WHERE: A nice cafe a few blocks away from Edward's apartment.
WHEN: 7pm on this lovely Friday evening.
Elle had never been on a date. Like she'd told Edward, she didn't have the luxury of being that interesting.
Never been on a date, never been swimming, never been on a roller coaster. She did what she wanted with little regard for the rules, and even less regard as to what pointless other people thought. (and, more often than not, even not-so-pointless)
She'd done so very little that people actually approved of in any way at all, but here she was, going on... (what? really?) a date?
She'd been told plenty of times that she'd be lucky if a dog wanted to go out with her. Just as well that she'd come across Edward, because as it came, she really didn't like dogs.
They didn't like her, either.
Either way, it left her relatively clueless on what on earth one was supposed to do on a date. How it was supposed to all go. If she'd gone the escort route, she would have gotten extensive instructions. Like this...
Normally she'd say she was just going to let Edward lead (now that was not something she was used to, letting someone else take over), but he seemed to know about as much about all this as she did, which could prove to be problematic. On the bright side, he'd never know how inexperienced she was.
Left seemingly completely to her own devices on this, Elle left work for her condo across the street to search for a suitable outfit. What was right to wear to something like this?
It took only a good hour or so, but when she finally
emerged victorious in her search, deciding finally on a more or less casual dress, given that it was May, after all. Either way, it only made her feel jittier inside still.
Pacing about the condo, she thought back. He'd said he'd pick her up at seven. Nnngh, she shouldn't be as nervous as she was, she was never like this. But then again, most people had not succeeded in actually making her feel vulnerable for once.
Like daddy did.
She wasn't even 100% sure whether she wanted to shock him. This sort of thing was rare, and she couldn't mess it up. She could... frighten him off if she came off to harshly, too quickly.
Then again, he knew what she was like. Had known for a while now. Now it was only a matter of... not messing up this whole "dating thing" completely. Biting her lip, she nervously tapped her heels against the table, waiting for seven.
