Dexter was standing in the hallway near the lobby, staring blankly at the vending machine that was denying him his much-needed fuel for the afternoon. Normally, he would have just walked away from a broken vending machine (like a normal person), and maybe let someone know that it should be fixed.
But this. This one had tricked him into giving up his hard-earned money too many times to deserve such a gentle fate.
The man let out a slow breath, and one of his eyes twitched before he gripped the top of the offending thing. It rocked forward, slightly, but his Oatmeal Creme Pies still wouldn't descent from their steel trap.
