I'm going to be really, really pissed if this scars.

How long does it usually take a cut to heal? A week or two, right? It's getting a little boring just lying in bed-

And what the hell do you do at a bondage club? I mean... I dunno. I assumed that was something you stayed at home to do.

It depends on who you are, I suppose. I heal fairly quick, but you're more slight of build.

Bondage clubs also fulfill the exhibitionist fantasy, in many cases.

That should mean there's less to heal.

That's.... weird. Whatever.

Women do generally heal slower.

Not my thing, really.

Shouldn't they have fixed that by now, since they can like, clone people?

Not unless they changed you in the womb. It's still not exactly a simple thing to do changes on a base genetic level. I've seen people in this city with great power, but how many of them can you say were completely stable? When you gain great power through strange means, it usually ends up costing you down the line.

... Can they do it later?

I would suppose they can try, but the chances of creating massive defects tends to be rather high.

Like what?

Depends on what's being altered, really. Messing with the genetics directly is never good. Some cybernetic alterations I've heard were rather good. If something screws up, it's centralized, it doesn't become part of your genetic code.

Cancer is one of the larger problems, from what I hear. Take healing for instance. The cells must divide quickly and continuously to accelerate healing. What is a cancer cell, but a cell that does just that? One slip up, and it heals out of control.

Mm.

But they have cures for that kind of thing now, don't they?

If they could cure all the problems that crop up, we wouldn't even be having this discussion.

You sound like you're considering having something done.

Just be aware of what may happen in later years.

Once I get what I want, there won't be a problem I can't have fixed. ♥

How do you know? You can't predict every problem, Rhode.
