On the way to work today 2 of the 3 lanes of 128 were shut down because of an accident with a guy on a motorcycle and a car. Traffic was backed up forever and when I finally inched past the area it happened in it was pretty frightening. The guy was just laying right there in the middle of the highway with just police officers there crouched over him. I couldn't tell how bad it was, but it must have happened only a few minutes before I past it since police cars were flying by past the traffic jam on the shoulder of the road.

I finally got the casters from Guitar Center. Since I anticipated them not calling if/when they came in so I called them today. It took a guy over 20 minutes to figure out if they were even in. He had issues figuring out where to find the file in the system, there were no notes saying where my stuff was, and then he had trouble finding it even when I got there to pick them up. It took half an hour. Also I need to add that I was waiting patiently by the guitar area register while a guy was selling a $1500 Gibson SG to a kid and his dad. When he finished the transaction he didn't even acknowledge that I was there and walked off to a set of stairs. He came down a minute later and I made it clear to him I was waiting, but he completely avoided me and walked in another direction once he realized I locked in on him. Then I got the idea to pick the most expensive guitar off the wall that I could reach, and needless to say that same salesman was over to talk to me in under a minute. I said I was going to buy the guitar eventually (obv not), but since he was completely unhelpful I wanted to talk to someone else. In walks Peter, the one and only guy at GC who is honest and friendly without being fake. He's probably the tallest guy I've ever talked to (at least 6'9") and wayyyy metal long hair. Anything significant I've purchased there in the past was through him. He gets my wheels in less than 2 minutes from the back.

On the way home today I saw a guitar on the side of the road, and I stopped and took it since it was in a trash pile by someone's house. It was in the pile for a reason, but its a 3/4 size classical guitar in horrible shape. Most likely it will get thrown out again, but we'll see.

I sanded the radius into the fingerboard after gluing it to the neck and filling the gaps between the inlay and neck with epoxy and ebony dust. I still have to stain the board black and put the frets on. The last two inlays didn't come out so great. Somehow they got sanded too thin and ended up cracking, the last one more so than the second to last one. Its not the end of the world and I can fill it with epoxy and dust, but it just really sucks that it happened and it won't be perfect. Most people won't notice, but if you looks its fairly evident that something is off. Right now its bugging me, but I'm not going to start over because of it. That just adds to the personality of it, and after all, it is a homemade guitar.
