Today is SE's update day, and I figured I should do an update as well.

Finished up my Combat merits, taking Axe from 0/8 to 8/8 in a little over a week.
Then I started my Category 1 PLD merits.
Not sure if I should raise Sentinel and Rampart together, or max out Sentinel first and then max out Rampart. But for now, I'll work on getting them at 2/5, and then figure out what I'm doing from there. After that, maybe I'll finish up my MP merits, then finish up BLU? Hard to say, too much on my plate for merits.

Next up is some HNM camping; Aspid window finally reached our prime camping time-frame, we had ToD, managed to get the numbers together and got claim. Technically the second time I've tanked this fight.
M. Feet went to Pitlith, putting him at 4/5 on Koenig set (missing legs), and A. Body went to Yaeko who is now 5/5 on Dalmatica set, plus she's 5/5 on Crimson already. And as far as M. abjurations go, I am the only PLD main in the LS that does not have the body or feet, so if I'm online and at camp for either of those drops in the near future, they'll most likely go to me. Kind of want them just for the show factor, but M. Body might have some situational use for me.
Also, we made it to a few more Aspid camps this week, so I got this:
Plus worked on WS points for my super dusty Club of Trials and got this:
Which means I can finally do the katana points and fight... yeah, slacking.

Next up is the ToAU beastmen leader for the trolls, Gurfurlur the Menacing. I did not think I would be online for this, this past Saturday, but plans changed and I was online. Did not know what I was getting myself in to.
I was asked to come on NIN, and I would play the roll of an off-tanking, solo'ing one of Gurfur's four guards; he spawns 2x PLD and 2x RNG. I had to pull one of the PLD guards to the west ramp and work on keeping it out of Diamondhide range on Gurfurlur, plus make sure my position did not get any extra aggro from the trolls below the ledge. I was kind of worried I did not have enough or adequate tank gear, but once in the fight I did not need a heavy defense/enmity build, mainly just stuck to evasion and haste.
I had one situation where I did not get the proper position (back to ledge wall, going up the ramp) and it led to a single add, which slowed down the fight. After that though I finally got a handle on how far to pull the PLD, then turn it so its back was facing down the ramp, allowing me to wedge myself in with the ledge wall at my back and facing up; any Overwhelm TP moves that would have tossed me over a ledge or down the ramp were negated and I did not have any more adds.
Also, a really nice benefit of all this NIN tanking was the parrying skill ups:
The kill shot and reward...
Part of the team and my title:
In the end, I think it took us four hours to run this fight. I would definitely do it again, despite the painfully apparent lack of treasure, but the fight itself was a really good challenge and the skill benefits were nice. Plus it is really fun to know you're in a team that can and will take on challenges just for the challenge.

Game updates are being added today, but SE just put the usual information and no equipment, which is what I want to see. They state they added "grips" for 2-handed weapons, but no mention of where to acquire them, nor what any of the stat options are. And that is what I want to see.
Several hours to go on the update, and I bet the .DAT miners are blocked out for a while on this one.

If you noticed, all of the dates are from 1996 to 1998 on the releases... so this is an "old school" mix, but I prefer the term classic. This is some of the darker drum'n'bass of that era, and what really got me in to drum'n'bass and Djing. I hope you all enjoy it!
Poke around the EXBC website, there are archives of numerous other Djs, including two other really good classic sets from the 08/24/2007 show; my friends Cakes and Deinfamous.
And I have slowly been moving back towards writing my own music again. It had been over 3.5 years since I was doing that last, I took the break I think I needed, and now it's time to relearn what gear and programs I have, learn new things and put it all together. Nick has heard the new thing I am working on, which I want to finish up, but I have been having some hardware issues and usually step away from the studio when that happens. Going to get the one piece fixed soon, just need to figure out if I can go to the manufacturer or if I have to go to a third-party to do the repair.
