Cat Girl Musings
I've spent too many hours reading the DOA info thread about Chic-Line alternate clothing, wig, shoes and etc. options (meaning, not FL-made), then following the different leads looking for wigs, clothes and shoes for the girl who isn't even here yet and an entirely different size than even a slim MSD.
I found a leopard print two-piece swimsuit, a floral dress and some shoes. I think I'm going to get her some kind of long tan boots to go with the planned cheetah/leopard idea. I've discovered on one site that all the shoe styles offering leopard were sold out.
I really don't want to put her in heels but that's what's popular for the 'fashion doll' BJD.
I want to go a little more fantasy with the wig, perhaps white instead of a golden tan that would go with the spotted big cat theme. I initially was looking at fiber (purple or some other fey colour) but I think I want to make her more animal wild and put her in a fur wig. I really do prefer fur and most of my dolls wear fur exclusively. Hatori, Nasake, Mirin and Talis wear fiber and Garnet wears both fiber and fur depending on her outfit. Everyone else is fur all the way.
The other colour option I'm pondering is black, but Hatori has black hair so I just don't know if that would be good or not. Should they be similar or contrast?
