I got a bit of a tongue-lashing for pulling out of the Yoko deal, but the seller also gave me some suggestions for little sister dolls. I don't know why the seller is complaining all that much - someone else had a bid on the doll (seller didn't tell me WHAT the prior bid was, only how much I needed to bid to top the prior bidder-which is a bit suspicious) so she's still going to get some money for the Yoko.
I still find it odd the seller kept saying she couldn't post photos. ANYONE can post photos. That's what free Flickr and Photobucket accounts are all about. And photos can now be uploaded at DoA, too. Something odd is going on...
Then I looked at all the posts started by this person - only two - an introduction post from November 2007 talking about posting photos and such, and the doll sales thread. The seller has only posted 58 entries total. Not much of a community member.
It's interesting the comments the seller made in the sales thread about changing life priorities is now gone. Probably deleted by a mod. Still, this is an odd situation and I'm glad I'm out of it, even with a tongue-lashing.
It's tempting to give some advise back to the seller, like using the sales format the forum asks each seller to use, telling her to post the current bid at the thread so people will know (common courtesy), AND that there is no excuse to not being able to post photos using a free account if she is capable of sending photos to people wanting to see doll pics. If she has the photos digitally, it doesn't take a lot to upload them to a free server. Hmm, maybe I should offer to post the doll photos for her - like providing a good deed. Or I may just let the person flounder with a sales thread with no takers because she's not following the set rules or using common sense about sales.
Ah, I've been looking at actual prior posts and this person repeatedly asked for advise on how to post photos, got answers to the questions (like use photobucket), and still was never able to figure out how to do it.
I think it's time to stop looking at potential dolls for a while and concentrate on the great ones living with me right now.
