I am going insane waiting for the go-ahead to buy my Powerbook. Literally. All I can do is browse Mac message boards and accessory websites -- and I'm pretty sure this is not normal behavior. I'm hoping tomorrow will be the day, however. In a few minutes I'm going to call my employer from last summer to see if they will have a space for me in ( Read more... )

Apples are the Ataris of the computer industry.

You should go for a nice full featured Dell, or maybe a VAIO.

I'll give 'em one thing... Apples are great for making and editing movies and such... But otherwise? Made for children. They need a label on the box:

Ok, I will agree with you on two things: 1.) You are going crazy, it can't be healthy (and the fact that all we ever do is sit on that couch watching TV has nothing to do with it!) 2.) Your Dell is really slow sometimes, but that is only because you have SO MUCH stuff on it!!! Oh, and while I usually agree with him, my fiancé seems to think that Powerbooks are for children, but one of the reasons why I hate them is because I can never figure out how to use them...

Ohh... sweetie.

It's ok. We'll never have one, so you don't have to worry about it. You can't figure out how to use it because you go into it with a false premise... You think you're using a real computer.
