[Mashiro takes no notice; her faces is buried in her cat's fur.]

"You'll get cold. You should get indoors." [Shana crosses to her, a grumpy expression on her doll-like face]

[onlythesong]

[She doesn't even bother to lift her head. She doesn't know this person, and Mikoto is warm.]

I'll go inside when I want to go inside.

[flameyedhunter]

"All right then. Well, when you freeze, don't say someone didn't try to warn you." [She looks at the fat cat and shrugs]

I know what the cold feels like perfectly well. Your warning isn't necessary.

[flameyedhunter]

"There are nasty people out here at night too. Murderers. best to stay indoors unless you can fight."

[there is more than a touch of bitterness in her voice]

[That gets her attention. She finally looks up.]

"It means what I said." [she scowls]

"But specifically, some crazy brown-haired lady with a knife on a stick was running around killing people. She.... killed people I knew."

[her brown eyes harden.]

[Her eyes widen; her breath hitches.] There were others?

"Several."

[she looks at Mashiro]

"I take it you know of what happened then?"

[onlythesong]

I know of it.

[flameyedhunter]

"Then you should agree it is dangerous out here at night, Mou!"

[her expression looks less pensive and more angry again]
