It's a busy time. It was good to see family and take some time off at the holidays, but I'm back at the grindstone, working at developing a list with Guildhall, molding my students into something presentable (I joke, they're amazing, very talented kids), that sort of thing. At some point this week I'm supposed to head back home, I got a call from my mother yesterday and it looks like my poor, young, misguided cousin Cameron is back from the States.
As for the theatre? No, I haven't forgotten. I love Malecrit. Always have, and this one's going to be great. Becca Roper is a translation goddess. I would worship her properly, but she is so very, very married. It's a problem.
Ah, Malecrit. The first play I ever did was Malecrit, it wasn't too far a step from Gilbert and Sullivan, my old mates who I'd already spent far too much time with at the time -- and here I am, back with them again for what feels like the thousandth time. I'll be heading directly from Malecrit into rehearsal for The Mikado, and from then we'll be working on the musical at Candlelight.
Also cannot deny -- I am looking very, very forward to this musical. Mark and I have been talking on and off and I've got my music all stacked up around the flat. Just ask A
Oh yes. This is very, very promising. Very. (I can hear you cringing from here, WADA graduates. Don't worry. I'll be gentle.)
