Today
** Yesterday, the boys called their dad. Guess what? He didn't answer the phone. Are you surprised?
** Today was a crappy Monday morning. LOTS of emails from a problematic group that's confirmed - hoping (praying) that they get sorted out soon so I can relax a bit. This is a particularly complicated group. Started out as four, grew to eleven, went down to eight, now back up to ten, probably twelve. They're split into two groups - one going to play golf and stay in two towns, the other group, staying in one town. They're meeting up about halfway through the trip. It gets more complicated so I won't bore you with the details. But they're doing my head in. I literally answered 14 emails from this group just today. Grrr.
** Have a feeling that I'll have two more clients commit by the end of the week. Not going to count on it but I'm hoping.
** My boss gave me the keys to the office today. That may not seem like a big deal but it means a lot to me. 1 - he trusts me with the keys, 2 - I'm not going anywhere anytime soon. I've been really worried about my job security since all the banks started folding in left and right in the States and now here, so this gives me a bit of confidence.
** I get a day off work on Wednesday. Well, sort of. I'm going on a FAM trip to Loch Lomond, so I won't be in the office and I get treated well - a fancy schmancy coach trip from downtown Edinburgh, a first-class tour around a castle, lunch in a new restaurant, then a cruise on Loch Lomond. All this at not a penny out of my pocket - the tourist agency is footing the bill. You gotta love this job, right??
** Well, I'm off to watch a new mini-series called "Place of Execution" - looks really good. I'll let you know.
