P's away. He left this morning for England for his business trip. It was really odd around here tonight without him. I've not said much since I got home. Boys were busy playing games when I got home and I made dinner (fish and chips with peas). The boys are getting used to eating at the table again. It takes time. T has really taken to it, actually - he's very chatty at the dinner table. Its like its his only chance to open up and be "normal" cause its time that he has to be - so it can be cool. ::grin::
I think the hardest part will be going to bed tonight without him - its our first night apart since me and the boys moved here. Hope I can sleep tonight ...
Great news - at last today, one of my clients at work (that I've worked on from the very beginning) started paying deposits today!!! Its my first one! I've had a few inherited ones but this one is all mine! One of the group (there's seven) even paid in full today! Yay!!! (This means I get at least one bonus this month!)
My MIL is coming Friday (the day P is due back into town). She's taking us out to dinner Friday night and we're going to the Red Lion Inn in Culross. That's where me and my friend C had our very first meal in Scotland. It was the bestest!
I remember when it came time for dessert, we saw pecan pie on the board. I asked for it. "I'd like the pe-kahn pie."
Waiter - "Eh?"
Me - "Pe-kahn pie, please."
W - "Sorry?"
Me - (pointing at the specials board) "Pe-kahn"
W - "Ah! PEEkun pie!"
Me - sigh
It rained all day today. Not a horrible rain, just the kind that kind of floats down. But rain, all the same. I didn't get to go to my normal bench today just yards from King Robert the Bruce's grave. I went, instead, to The Abbot House (which I frequently do if its raining). Its good atmosphere and the prices are reasonable. I was having my lunch and reading a magazine and there were two couples that sat at a table across from me. They asked if lunch was good there and I told them I had lunch there frequently and it was good. They ordered lunch and after they sat down, they tried to put up a camera with a tripod to take their photo. I offered to take it for them and they handed me the camera. It was a good shot if I do say so myself. ::grin::
Sorry no photos today. Will post photos as soon as I have more to share.
