Its finally setting in
That I'm finally home. At last.
I'm settling into a routine, some normality. I'm cooking dinner in MY kitchen. Showering in MY bathroom. Watching MY TV. Well, its OURS but you know what I mean. Its not someone else's and that's all I care about.
I'm even enjoying cleaning ... what's that all about??
We went to see Direlton and Tantallon castles yesterday in East Lothian. I haven't seen those castles in TEN years. It was nice to get back to see them again - and with my boys. The girls went off to Glasgow shopping and hanging out. I got some really awesome pics, too - I keep promising I'll post pics and I keep running out of time! I'll try again tomorrow...if I can ever get the computer away from the kids!
Today we took it easy. After the weekly cleaning (the house is VERY clean), we jaunted off to the Torryburn beach while the tide was out. I love that beach. Its not much of a sandy beach - more pebbles and shells. But there's a lot of old Victorian pottery remnants there and I love stuff like that. I still have NO clue what I'm going to do with it, but I love it.
I cooked my rice casserole for dinner tonight with as close to American ingredients as possible but it still came out tasting different. But it was still good nonetheless and a hit with the family (except for A, who is still the pickiest eater in the family).
We may take a day off tomorrow (Monday). I have an appointment for an interview for an NI number on Tuesday and I want to get prepared for it. Who knew one had to prepare for a National Insurance number?? I pretty much have to give them most of the same information I provided to immigration!! Yikes! lol Oh well, at least I haven't put that stuff away and its still in my folder I sent to the LA office.
W is impatiently waiting for the computer so I guess I'll let her have it. See what I mean?? I mean, there's an f'in queue for the computer around here. Sheesh. lol
