picture book of graduation
So I guess I actually have to update this thing now, being as I've left it for weeks without anything important on it.

I'll start with graduation festivities.  Last Monday was the Senior Banquet.  I sat with Mike and Jim (twin brothers who happen to be our valedictorian and salutatorian) who were pretty much standing the whole time because they kept having to go up and get awards.  Fun.  I got a bunch of crap that I didn't expect, and didn't get some that I did expect, so it was just surprises all night.

The Wonder Twins...Jim, Mike (MY LOOOOOOVE!!), and then me

Tuesday was Baccalaureate mass at St. Francis, unremarkable except that IMBRIANO WAS THERE...yes, Embryo, our midget bearded new Yorker Spanish teacher flew down from Long Island just for us, mainly because we're amazing.  Me and SB got his number to call in three years because he always said he'd take us bar hopping when the time came.  He thinks we'll forget.  Silly little man.

Wednesday night was the actual graduation ceremony.  It was SO BAD.  Holy Jesus.  Firstly, in the program it had us listed as the class of 2006.  We know, St. Joe, that you miss that class desperately and want them back, but that doesn't mean you get to fuck up our graduation.  Then all the speeches (not the student speeches but the teachers/superintendent) lasted forever and consisted of the same point repeated over and over again.  And Sister Deborah kept calling Mike "Will," which is his oldest brother's name.  Finally it ended and we turned in our robes and got our diplomas.

Bye bye Senior Deck!!

Really dark photo my mom took of Jamie, me (in the middle) and Chelsea graduating...only pic I have of me in my robe
...the camera died after that and I had to go buy batteries after I'd changed

After that was kidnapping time.  The mothers loaded us up on two Greyhound buses, each patrolled by a set of cops specifiaclly attending just to watch us.  Party time!  We went to the Alumni House (as I predicted) and ate for an hour or two, a long-seeming time made shorter by the long food line and our watching of the Senior Video.  My mom turned in that hideous picture of me and Andrew and Winterball in 9th grade.  Cool.

Me and Garrison with our trademark awkward pic

We made Lacey suck helium and say "DANG"

LayLay Reddix and me!  DAAANG!!

Then we all packed up and I was right about our next destination too:  Larwil Lanes.  We mystic bowled for about an hour and a half...or rather, threw balls around and danced. Me and Lacey requested the Heisman but once again, they didn't have it.  I bowled a strike, but I'm an idiot so I did it while someone else was supposed to be bowling so they got the points.

The next thing on the agenda I didn't foresee.  We rode on the bus for about thirty minutes and finally turned up at...the Baptist Healthplex in Clinton?  Huh.  Well, fine.  Some people ping ponged, some people racquetballed, some people swam.  I didn't get in until I found out people were using the hot tub.  Then I finally changed and chilled out in there for a while (chilled in the hot tub, is that a paradox or what?).  Eventually I went swimming with various people and finally changed and left there.

I don't have any pictures of that.  Likely for the best, as I was wearing a swimsuit at the time.

The last thing we did took us to a clubhouse in some random ass Clinton neighborhood.  They fed us breakfast with good coffee, and supposedly we were going to sit around a bonfire and talk about memories.  But apparently the neighborhood people had caught wind of this plan beforehand, and vetoed it.  So the mothers loaded up a clear plastic basket with lighted flashlights and set it in the middle.  Our bonfire.  But because our class can't shut up and listen to anyone, nobody got to really say anything.  That was pretty annoying.

They gave us glowing crunk cups

Me with some glowsticks around my head...everyone else had them too but those pictures are so blurry there's no point in putting them up

Our bonfire

Finally the bus took us home  around 6 or so.  Sun was dawning when we returned.

Misty dawn.

Since graduation, pretty much all I've been doing is sitting around here and there and eating.  Hopefully tomorrow night will be more interesting.  Hope you had fun viewing this picture post.

Bye!
