For almost thirty years I repeatedly saw one and the same dream: I would arrive in Vienna at long last. I would feel really happy, for I was returning to my serene childhood.

All that freaking out about packing came to nothing. My bags weigh surprisingly less than I expected them to, and certainly still have room. This is probably a good thing, as I'm sure I'll acquire plenty of stuff that I'll have trouble fitting in on the way back. The world always works that way, doesn't it? I'm not freaking about anything else, either. Well, unless you count the slight anxiety related to the fact that I only have a three hour layover in London.
But mostly, I just cannot believe that in not very long, I will be there.
Austria, watch out. Vienna, here I come.
