Johanna is in her cradle. Is that so.I have a desire to do something quite simple. To keep myself busy; this is not beyond possibility. It is simple knitting. However, I recall in my passing that some of the items in this dead city are not of metal nor glass nor gem; it is a flimsy material that I feel with sufficient pressure would snap quite

Not for protection! since that seems to offend you so much...crazy girls Just...yeah, if you'd want...erm, company, like you said.
Namine won't mind. Maybe she'd even come along too. I think you'd...like meeting her?

Namine has no weapon yet, so I take her out, its different with her, I already promised to protect her. She doesn't get to hang out with other girls much, besides Rinoa and Umi now, and Kairi when she's over at Latimir
...I mean if you hate me or anything too, thats okay, you can just say it.

Who is this Namine you care for?

She's...a girl. I was with her at the concert last friday, you could have seen us. She has blonde hair, sort of small, sort of quiet. She really liked your singing.
I...sort of knew her growing up, but...not really. It's complicated. I helped rescue her from evil people who kept her and used her for their own devices, once. But now we're free from that, even though Marluxia and Larxene are still out there in the city somewhere.
She's a very talented artist, so...I don't know, maybe she can even knit too. She's my special someone, and I care for her best out of anyone in the whole world ever.

I remember her. When I looked at her, I believe I must have seen a part of myself.
Ah; I've heard of those names before. Nothing pleasant, of course. I will keep note of that.
If she does not, I can always teach her.
You love her quite dearly. Might I ask you why this is so?

Not pleasant at all. They're really cruel.
You can fight?
Because, she's....do I need a reason? Because she's her, she just is, she's Namine. She's kind and she risked breaking the lies for me, and she's the most important person to me, ever. She's really talented with her pictures, and she- my heart is hers. She made a very big part of me, in a way. She forgives me for my dumb things, and she's treated me like me and not Riku. Nngh, I sound like such a big sap when I talk about her, like Sora practically, but its all true. I'd go anywhere and do anything to be with her, and keep her safe from harm.

Ah, no. I meant I could teach her to knit, if she wished. But I would like to learn how to defend myself. That seems crucial.
You need a reason, but... you have a good one, Prydain. Several good reasons, it seems, to love her as you do. You are dedicated, and genuinely so. Albeit a tad blindly, but you are indeed genuine, and that is good.

OH! Oh, yeah, teach her if she wants, I guess. I think Iroh's teaching people some basic defenses. He's really nice. He'll train you with like poles-weapons and stuff.
I do love her. That much should, I hope, be obvious.

It is. Some people "love" for the wrong reasons, of course.
Reply
...Are you saying I do?
I love her. She made We made promises, promises since we were little, and I'm keeping them faithfully. I don't care if anyone else thinks its wrong or right.

I say that many love for wrong reasons. You are innocent.

...He says there were girls in his armies.
What are wrong reasons, then?

And what do you think of that, out of curiosity?
Lust. Loving by sight alone.

But they use lots of elemental powers there, where he's from. Footsoldiers are normal, but there are special 'benders', and some of them are girls. So girls don't actually have to touch their opponents, just throw fire at them, from a safer distance. But you still have to be 'strong in both body and spirit', and its still the army, so I'd think the training's still hard on them.
Oh, you mean like when a girl just looks pretty? Yeah, anyone who can't like someone for everything she is doesn't understand what a princess is. To love someone is a big deal, you have to make important promises, and entwine your destinies and stuff.

Not all ladies are princesses, Prydain.
