On the bright side..

The last two days have been about rekindling relationships.

Last night (wed) I went out with Britt, Kyla, Vicky and Sassi. We went to Ky's soccer game then out for a traditional meal of Deluxe. Then we went to Vicky's and hung out, watched retarded Flash videos, and looked at her trip pictures (among other pictures). After which, I helped her register for her courses on the dumb online registration system. I am so so relieved that Britt and I aren't leaving town on a bad note, last night was a wonderful relief of the hostility that has stood for so long. Perhaps the absense of pressure because we're both heading away made it easier to forgive and forget. I hope, anyways.

Tonight I had a wonderful evening with Markus. I was feeling kind of depressed about moving (my outlook changes day to day...actually hour to hour) and he did an excellent job of making me feel optimistic. He certainly erased my doubts of our connection, he can still read me like nothing else. After chilling for awhile at home we hit Rainbow Cinema's to see the Longest Yard. It was a football movie and I actually enjoyed it! It was fun teasing eachother all night...I missed being playful like that. We're spending tomorrow morning together, he's going to pick me up when he drops his sister off at work and spend some much needed alone time together.

I started organizing my music books that I want to take this afternoon..gah I wish I wasn't flying, then at least I could pack them into boxes. I'm thinking I could use a large schoolbag as an additional luggage. I only have three hardcover textbooks I need to bring (theory and history from when I was preparing conservatory exams before I started lessons with Charlene - it's funny when a Senior RCM examiner refrains from entering her students in exams) and all my music volumes are paper back.. I need to make a list...

Harmonic Practise in Tonal Music
+ Workbook
Enjoyment of Music
Form in Music
Notes from a Pianist's Bench
Beethoven Sonatas Vol 1 & 2
Bach 2&3 Part Inventions; WTC Complete
Brahms Pieces for Piano
Chopin Etudes and Preludes; Waltzes and Scherzi; Misc Pieces (berceuse, tarantella, etc); Nocturnes and Polonaises
Mozart Sonatas Vol 1 & 2
Mendelssohn Songs W/O words
Scriabin Preludes and Etudes
Schumann Pieces for Piano (the icky publisher)
Schubert ""
Tchaikovsky ""
Favourite Classical Pieces for Piano
+1 binder of sheet music/single published pieces

That's 21 volumes if I leave some other non-necessary/rarely used books behind.. Only this means I have less material to sightread for kicks. I need to buy Chopin's ballades when I get out there (I need that, and a good music dictionary - finally got my credit card so Amazon WILL be my friend for music books)... I'm sick of learning the Ab off of photocopies. Hey wait a minute..universities tend to have music libraries! I'm saved :D
