well:
i bet i seem a pretty crazy, considering each entry i make flops back and forth between complaining about how things are going down and glowing about how things are looking up.
so this is an *up* entry!
(and i'm only a -little- crazy.)
i'd like to point (*POINT*) towards the new icon. an excuse to use lens flares? i'll take it.
so i've had some work recently, thankgoodness. after borrowing enough to pay my rent/hydro/phone/visa bills, i was feeling pretty anxious. last week they had me come in to watch all our footage and make edit notes. it was easy and i got to see all the stuff we shot and spend a little more time with the director i admire. this week i did budget and expenses stuff... i felt like those high school spreadsheet lessons had a point. (kinda.) oh, and not to mention nenych's finance teaching. that knowledge helped me a whole bunch of... none.
i did file folders too, labeling and sorting and stuff. not thrilling, but considering what they're paying me for a day's work i'll do whatever bitchwork they want (don't make me give examples of what i would do).
(stop thinking about me doing dirty things for money.)
and! more exciting, i got to go to the edit suite and check out the first cut of the first act of the show. so cool. i think i could work in a place like that. and i got to see everything before even the director does. i feel super-special.
now i have a week off and enough money to not freak out about it. anyone want visits? seriously. i'm thinking a trip to peterborough for a day or two and maybe waterloo? requests? laura's summer tour '06.
i'm currently watching 'so you think you can dance'. this means NOTHING is on tv. and obviously i can't just turn it -off-.
ah well. tv is my life.
