[She wakes with a start. The first thing to run through her mind is 'what day is it?' But here she is, in her own bed again. Hadn't she been out on the top deck, reading into the night? Yes, surely she had. It had been such a good book too.

Someone else had joined her, a man. He'd been so interesting to talk to, but even he had bid goodnight in the end. Midnight. It had been around midnight, hadn't it? What had happened after that? She certainly hadn't fallen asleep.

A hand flies to her thin throat, grasping it with a startling pass of horror. She gasps, as if testing for something; but she can breathe just fine. But how was she here, sitting alone in her room, unclothed save for her undergarments, and.. The rush of fear gripped her with icy fingers. She had died. She'd been choking, gasping for air that was impossible to pass through her throat. She'd died.

Hesitantly, she reaches for the communicator in her lap, and flicks it on.]

Does... When was the last time.. Anyone saw me? I'm sorry if it's a strange question, but I really must know.
