[She's found her way to the library, a happy spring in her step, hymns and lyricless tunes hum from her lips. What has her in such a good mood? You might need to ask and find out. But if one were to come across her, they'd find the chipper redhead waltzing the aisles, book in hand, lazily flipping pages. Occasionally she'd pause her movements to ( Read more... )

[It's rare that Daxter ever strays into something that reeks of learning and studious nature, but he saw a gorgeous lady go in.

So he will be scaling the shelves and hopping after her before calling down.]

Hey there sweetheart.

[Give her a minute to find out just where the voice is actually coming from, and voila! Beaming smile.]

Oh! Hello there!

[He perches atop the bookshelf. She's nice.]

You lookin' for something in particular, sugar? The Daxtinator is at your service.

[Except he has no idea where anything is in this library.]

[Lucky lucky]

Well, I've been looking for books about boats. Big boats! Like the one we're on now. I was wondering how it worked.

Oh baby, I can tell you all you gotta know about that!

What's got you confused? [Daxter scales down the shelves to bound onto a nearby table to speak more comfortably with her.]

[She moves closer to said table just as he does.]

I've seen small powered boats before, though most of the boats and ships from my world have sails or are propelled by oars. Human powered.

I can't quite understand how this ship is moving so quickly. Even the larger ships back home don't move half as swift.

[She flops herself into a chair next to the table, looking awfully perplexed, despite the never-dying smile on her mouth.]

[That's so cute. Daxter sits back on his haunches and leans an elbow on her arm.]

Well sugar, that's 'cause this ship is usin' somethin' called Eco to push it through the water. You know what that is?

Eco? [Hey Giselle, didn't know you could look like an owl.]

I don't. What is it?

It's the stuff that makes everythin' in the world work, sweetheart.

Like green Eco heals you up, and blue Eco makes electricity and stuff, and red makes you stronger. Stuff like that.

I'm afraid I've never heard of it before. I don't know if it exists in my world. Or perhaps no one's discovered it yet!

Oh it's definitely discovered. Like, a long, long time ago.

What is your home called?

[Subtle. Giselle knows Eco doesn't exist in her world.]

What's it like there? And your bar?

[She leans both elbows on the table, whether he's still leaning on her arm or not, to listen.]

[Oh ho ho.]

Well, Haven's pretty dirty still. But my bar is slammin'. It's were all the cool people hang out to take it easy after a long, hard day of work.

[Giselle's just going to pretend she knows what 'slammin' means. Probably something good, at least.]

Dirty? Is it in the woods or something? Mm.. I've never been to a bar before. What's it like?
