Top Ten Newly Discovered Artists (2010).
OK, so I know I'm a few days late with this (I know, I know, I fail at life) but in all fairness the internet was not great while I was on holiday, and I just didn't have time to sit down and do this post. Last year, it took me like 8 hours. So.
Basically this is the same as last year: I picked my favourite artists who I discovered in the last twelve months, no matter how long they've been active in the music industry, then chose my top two songs by them. I've also included runners-up (with one song by each) as well as four film scores/soundtracks that I've loved this year (I was initially going to do a separate post for albums, but I've been kind of meh on the majority of full albums this year, to be honest). At the end of the post there's a zip file with absolutely everything in it ;)
I decided to be a little different this year and not go into detail about how I personally feel about all the songs - I'd rather hear what you guys have to say about it than let my views of it colour what you think. If that makes sense (which it probably doesn't, it is 1am after all!)
(I'd like to do a top ten of my favourite artists from each year but I'm afraid it would be more or less the same every year - Mat Kearney, Joshua Radin, SafetySuit, Sia, Barcelona, Lifehouse etc etc etc!)
