So i just got back from France last night around 11:30ish p.m. Let me just say, it was the best time that i have ever had. I love that country, i love the people, and i love the language.

I'm just gonna do a little(haha) recap of my trip:

Thursday- Stayed home from school so i could get some sleep, packed and such things. Then i went to school with my luggage and said bye to amanda, surr, jessica, erika, and lincoln. haha. Had to wait around the airport for 3 hours prior to the plane ride. It wasnt even a direct flight, it went to detroit first, thenn to france. Which was long, but not too long only 8 hours. Oh yeah and on the plane, there were little movie screens on the back of the seat with a lot of different movie selections, i watched the motorcyle diaries.

Friday- Arrived in France at about 11 am, european time. Had to take a long bus ride into Paris, and then we had to go take a train to La Rochelle, which we almost missed. Then we got to la rochelle where we met our host families. I met my host family, and the french boy's name was Antoine. If you don't know about antoine, he loves hip-hop and can breakdance like mad. haha it was pretty awesome. Add him on myspace: www.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewProfile&friendID=11530961&Mytoken=20050327120119

Saturday- Slept about 10 hours which was amazing. Oh yeah, sasha's host girl was antoine's girlfriend. kinda ironic isn't it? So i got to hang out with her a bunch. We went shopping in La Rochelle. Then later at night, antoine and i hit the club, lots of dancing went down.

Sunday- Sasha, her french girl, antoine, and i went riding bikes on the beach. Kinda funny, but it was beautiful. Then we rode into this little village type place and got ice cream.

Monday- I went to school in La Rochelle. Wow, their classes are incredibly boring. So i read my book all day.

Tuesday- School again. But this day was a lot better. I was in the library most of the day talking to luke and bassel on the computer haha. Then after lunch i was just hanging outside and this girl named Fanny said to me "I love you" in english. So i was like... whoooaa!! And she turned out to be the coolest person ever haha. She had similar taste in music as me and she spoke English, french, and Japanese. Insaaanne. So i just went to class with her, it was fun.

Wednesday- Goodbye's to my host family, which we're the nicest family. Then took a train into Paris, loaded our bags into our hotel, then went straight to the Tour d'eiffel. C'est beau! Then walked and walked to the Musee d'orsay, which was the museum for impressionist paintings. Next- took a metro to the arc de triomphe, and walked down Les Champs-elysees. I was really tired.

Thursday- Woke up at around 8, ate breakfast. Then we went to the Pere la Chaise cemetary where we saw Jim Morrison's grave, and also saw Chopin's, Delecrois, and Oscar Wilde's grave. Next we walked by the Bastille, and continued on to Notre dame. It was really quite amazing. It rained on this day, and i think i fell asleep in a McDonalds. Yeah. But then we went to Centre Georges Pompidou, which is for modern art. The art in this museum was simply amazing, and they had little performances throughout our visit. really weirrd.

Friday- By far, it was my favorite day. We started out by going to the Louvre. And yes, i saw the Mona Lisa. It was a pretty neat place. Then we walked to the Galeries Lafayette and H&M for shopping, where i dropped large ammounts of money and actually maxed out my credit card. I bought some cool shoes, pants, shirts, the whole deal. Then we ate our farewell dinner at this little french restraunt and had a boat ride on the seine which went around Paris.

Saturday- Plane ride home. Watched Ray. Fucking lonngggg, but now it's kinda nice to be home, although i miss France.

It's so weird to be back in America. I just kinda got used to how the French live, it's so strange. But i seriously had the best time in my life, i learned so much about myself and the world. The only things that weren't so great about the trip was having such limited time and the people who i went with. Well, i mean for the most part they were okay, like sasha. But things have just changed over a year, i'm not so close to those people anymore although they are still nice. I just didn't feel like i really fit in with them. But it was no biggie, still fun times. I had to room with Nate Western who moved to Florida a couple months ago. He's a nice dude, got on a lot of peoples nerves. But oh well haha. He kept saying how amazing Skies Bleed Black was, so i was like "cool" haha. Wow, so about this being a really long entry, i think i'm gonna go shower or something.
