ANSWER ME. Why is it that republicans can be against abortion, but for killing hundreds of THOUSANDS of people in Iraq??? It makes no sense, at all.

(I am of course assuming you are quite a young one since your so called "rage" contains no real and valid factual evidence and that you believe that by spewing out nasty comments about information that you obviously have no understanding of in fact makes a point.)
I too shall remain anonymous because you obviously don't have the guts to fess up to your little rant. I am a junior (in college) Honors student POLITICAL SCIENCE major.
1. Your belief that people want abortion KEPT legal is because it is used as a form of birth control is a completely reductionist point of view. You are only reducing the argument of abortion to the simplest terms possible in order to set up an argument that is more easily torn down. In philosophy this is called a "straw man" argument. Obviously you did not know that 9 out of 10 of those who are pro-choice are against abortions? I believe that abortion is NOT to be used as a form of birth control yet that is my OWN opinion and I have no right to force my belief on any other person. Do you really think women who have abortions are just fine with what they are doing?
2. If you believe that abortions are so wrong and used as birth control, tell Dubya to start teaching sex education rather than just abstinance. If people are not taught how to protect themselves from becoming pregnant and do not understand the whole process more unwanted babies are bound to be made. Furthermore, "President Bush" no longer supplies money to programs that teach about birth control worldwide. Rather he only gives money to teach abstinence. People wonder why we have a population problem in Africa and about the AIDS virus that is spreading in these uneducated areas. News alert: PEOPLE HAVE SEX. ITS HUMAN NATURE.

3. Abortions should be kept legal because no matter what happens abortions will still occur. Abortion should be kept legal and SAFE. No going back to the sticking a hanger up a woman...
4. Did you know that the leading cause among pregnant women is MURDER by their boyfriends or husbands?
5. Pro-Choice means a person has the CHOICE to do what they feel is best for them. Do you honestly think a girl/woman who was raped and then became pregnant would want to look at a child and be reminded of that horrible experience everyday? What about if the choice came down to saving the mother or the baby? By making abortion illegal the mother would HAVE TO DIE.
No government, no person, and especially no MAN will ever have control of MY body and what I do to it. America was based on freedom and democracy. If you are against abortion, DON'T HAVE ONE. But don't be so selfish as to block this right from others.

Now to Andy's point concerning Iraq. First off the people in Iraq were fine towards American before we began bombing and taking over their country. The references that you made about Iraq invading other countries is so out dated I wonder whether YOU are in touch with the real world. If you want to make a good argument you can't bring something up that happened a decade or so ago. The U.N. and other nations had taken control of Iraq and placed numerous sanctions on Saddam.
Tell me what was the point in invading Iraq if there were no weapons of mass destruction. Our President LIED to to the public and allies to try to garner support for his unjust war. Of course Saddam is a threat to the world but who was the bigger threat at the time? Him or NORTH KOREA who we knew had weapons of mass destruction. Bush also claimed that going into Iraq was another process in the War on Terror... but remind me first off when Iraq attacked us.. and secondly how where they going to attack us with no weapons. And why would we leave Afghanastan, on the heels on Bin Laden, to go after Iraq? OIL OIL OIL. Before ANYTHING was secured in Iraq, the oil reserves were the first things the U.S. troops went to protect. SAD isnt it?
I have a feeling you are one of those people who listen to Bill O'Reilly and believe that those who are opposed to the war are against the troops. If I was against the troops... why would I march against the war... march against sending innocent young people to their deaths?
In conclusion, think before you open your mouth and try to make a decent argument. You are uneducated on anything political as far I can see and are NOT in touch with the real world as you claimed Andy was.
Stop watching Fox News. It's only Republican Propaganda. It's not real journalism. Watch a variety of news programs, read numerous books and newspapers and form your arguments better. Perhaps then you could have a real political debate with someone.
